Juki DDL-8700-H Industrial Straight Stitch Sewing Machine, K.D table & Servo Motor DIY

This Juki DDL 8700-H machine is really good. I have received a good quality, sewing machine from the seller. I received three boxes, one for the table, one motor, and the head which is Juki ddl 8700-h. It is really packed nicely no damage at all for all the items that I received. If you guys have trouble how to assemble the Juki, there is a video on the YouTube. Also, there is a QR code guide on the package, about what YouTube need to be watch for the assemble. If you are having trouble or concerned about your machine, just send a message to the seller that’s what I did. And Jacob help me a lot and answer all my concern and questions. The sewing machine features is really nice. The functionality is good. There’s no need to give a bad reviews guys. What can I say? It’s the classic DDL-8700. If you just need a straight lock stitch machine that can sew through most anything besides heavy leather, this is all you need.

This thing is HEAVY. I put it together solo, which was relatively easy to do with an instruction video. It will sew through anything that fits under the foot. It is loud when in use, but it will sew very fast through regular weight material. Tension takes some tinkering so you don’t snap threads, but once it’s up and running smooth it’s a game changer.

This machine is wonderful. Only catches is that if you’re used to using a domestic machine, there is a learning curve to this machine from the way you place the bobbin to the way you work the tension but once you learn those few tips the possibilities are endless. If you are purchasing this machine, and you don’t already own a Juki, I suggest that you order a set of extra needles. It only comes with one as well as a pack of bobbins specifically for the Juki. They are smaller than the average bobbin so if you already have bobbins that you’re using in your domestic machine they will not work in your industrial machine. One of the major things I learned is you need thread that is stronger than your domestic machine uses so using a bonded polyester or nylon Tex 45-70 thread works great in this machine. And you definitely need to order a tension bar for the top of your machine. The one that it comes with does not work. They have a ton of them for the jerky. They are not very expensive if you grab those four things for while you ordered the machine then you’ll be ready to start sewing as soon as you have it put all together.

MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER Never will buy from this seller again. First of all. This kind of machine is my favorite. I’ve been using Juki for years. I’ve ordered this item 2 months ago. The table came in damaged. I contacted customer support. The seller said that they will send a new machine. I’ve been waiting for another 2 weeks. Never got the machine. Contacted customer support again. They said that I’m going to have a refund. AT THE END I NEVER GOT THE MONEY BACK YET AND I HAVE NO MACHINE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SELLER. Updates: I have not received the refund. I’ve been waiting for 4 months. Never ever will get anything from this company. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

I ordered and received my Juki DDL-8700H. #1-Had a bit of a hard time getting factual shipping information directly from seller. The notification stated that my packages had been shipped, but had not. Finally, Amazon stepped in to assist! #2-I was not happy that I had to order a true thread guide, because the 1 that was sent with my machine was 1 stem, 2 tiny washers and a 1/4" wide 2" long screw!(photo included) #3-The plastic drawer was cracked in several places because it was unwrapped and thrown into the large box with the heavy table (which I am very pleased with). #4-I was pleasently surprised to receive a magnetic led light sin e the description didn't mention that 1 was included. I love, love love my new industrial! I will buy another Juki, just not sure if I will purchase anything else from this seller.

First, I should start by saying I have been researching heavy duty machines for a good year or so before I finally decided to purchase it. I own a design/sewing studio and already have a DDL-8700 and DDL-8100e and needed something that I can sew leather on, but didn't want to pay for a walk foot, so the DDL-8700H seemed like a viable replacement. I was right. It arrived in 3 DAYS! Shipped in 3 packages, all arrived at once. I was so impressed... and then I sewed with it. OMG. I have a ton of automotive grade leather from my former life in that industry so I figured I would test it out on that, it went through 4 layers and wasn't even phased, it didn't even slow down. It does take a long time to put together, my husband I are pretty well versed in it now, but it still took us a couple hours. Looks just like the DDL-8700 but with "beefier" parts - feed dog, foot, etc. Needless to say, I am super happy with my purchase and plan on making leather bags with it. I also work on a lot of denim repairs so it will be great for that too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The machine itself would be worthy of a higher rating if it weren't for the needless and careless hardware issues. Misalignments, safety guards that don't line up well, and holes that aren't tapped for the provided screws, so the flywheel and belt guard can be assembled properly. One hole on the foot pedal was too small for the hardware to fit into. I had to drill it out myself, which was not easy. I think the takeaway is that the people selling this really don't care if you have a good experience or not, and for the price, that's kind of inexcusable. I'm trying to decide whether to return it. I really want to return it, but it would be such a hassle. I'm weighing whether just dealing with the poor quality is something I'm willing to do to avoid the hassle. I'm pretty sure that's the seller's intent.
