I purchased this drinking glass for my son after he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. It works great for measuring out his drinks for easy carb counting.

I'm cutting back on alcohol for health reasons. This helps with tracking my drinks. It's the size of a regular glass, so it doesn't take up as much space as measuring cups with ounces.While I bought it to monitor portion size for drinks, I've already used it for cooking and mixing salad dressings. I have a tiny kitchen and little storage, so my regular measuring cup with ounces marked on it is stored away in a harder to reach spot. I no longer need to take it down to measure out my drinks.As long as I have my glasses on or contacts in, it's pretty easy to read. I'm in my 50s, so that is a definite plus!

I bought this glass to help me measure fluid intake. I have to count how much fluid I drink due to a pituitary gland disorder. The glass is very helpful!

One of the main reasons I bought these is because i like to drink tea right out of the measuring cup. In an attempt to be a bit more civilized i thought to get measuring glasses to drink out of instead. The glass is much thinner and less quality than that of a measuring cup’s. Of even more importance - the painted measurements on the outside start fading after only a few washes in the dishwasher. Also the width is too narrow to get your hand inside with a sponge to clean manually. The price is borderline too expensive in exchange for these issues. But there doesn’t seem to be much other selection on Amazon when it comes to measuring glasses. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It wasn’t easy to find a regular size drinking glass with marked measurements. Most I have seen were small shot glasses up to six ounces at best. The glass material is rather thick, and the markings are easy to see. So far, the markings have stayed on after over a month’s use.UPDATE: I previously hand washed it and the markings stayed on. Recently I started putting it in the dishwasher, and the markings started to fade. After about 5 to 6 washes, the markings are all gone. They are barely visible even when put under the light. I replaced it with an old-fashioned Anchor Hocking measuring glass. Not ideal since it’s only 5oz, but the markings stay on wash after wash when I take it out from the dishwasher.

I bought this to measure things for my type one diabetic son. I bought 2 one was correct and the other one is off. Just double check the lines before using.

The first one I ordered came broken, but I was able to return it. The second one came and seemed great, but the printing showing the measurements wore off within a few washes. It wasn't even in the dish washer, it was hand washed and the printing still wore off. It kind of made it useless after that because I had specifically ordered it to use to measure things. I wouldn't recommend it or buy it again.
