Awesome introductory resource for learning animal tracks
Bought these for my niece for her 5th birthday along with the Big Tracks, Little Tracks: Following Animal Prints book by Selsam. They are pretty thin and can be bent (3yr old nephew snatched one when we weren't looking ha). But they held up just fine to her learning how to use them. At first she was pressing really hard but I showed her how to peel the paper off of a crayon and use it horizontally. Worked great as far as she was concerned! Of course it won't look like an adult did it but when does kid artwork ever? This gives her something to practice fine motor skills with and I look forward to quizzing her when we go camping. We read the Big tracks, little tracks book before coloring and she recognized the difference between "dog and cat prints" (The timber wolf and the puma). This set also comes with a how-to guide, and additional craft ideas like using plaster. Overall, It's a cute set that should be used with some guidance, once they figure out the technique they just keep coloring, good way to familiarize kids with tracks, highly recommend adding the Big Tracks, Little Tracks book, quiz them when you go camping!

Good buy
We got books, stamps, and many other things to go with these. Kids love to do rubbings and it's fun to try to figure out what animal you got! Great addition to our animal tracks lesson plan.

Nice set
My kids are 6, 4, and 3. they love these. The plastic is thin, but they are sturdy. You can clearly see the rubbing after you're done. We used this for a nature unit since we used to live in town. They worked wonderfully, and the kids still enjoy using them for arts and crafts projects.
