The drain hole in my tub is 1 3/4 inches diameter, and the rim surrounding the drain is 2 3/4 inches outer edge to edge. Will this cover fit my drain?

The diameter of the items I have are about 3 1/4, almost a 1/2” larger than your situation. If memory serves, I did run across a version on Amazon with a smaller diameter.
