Happy with it!
We put it in already and my husband is out with the boys in it right now. We bought gray with blue lines. It looks really sharp and so much easier to clean than the carpet that covered the floor before. I asked him if he still loves it while he was out in the boat on a phone call and he said/ love it! Easy on their feet too. Sticks well to the bottom- we had read some reviews that said the corners were peeling up, but we have not found that. We chose to turn the last piece horizontal, and we trimmed to use the blue edge as the joining piece- I don’t know if you can tell in the picture or not how he joined them. This was a picture after we all had our dirty shoes on in the boat because there were tools in things everywhere. It was late when we finished it so we did not try to clean it yet because they’re out using it this morning early.

Great Product
Initial impression is that I am really happy with this product. As you might expect, it's a bargain compared to a professional installation. Admittedly, the custom jobs are going to be nicer but in my case it wasn't worth paying 6x the price for something I wanted to try anyway. The color and texture has been very consistent over several purchases so there have been no issues matching sections. Ignore the water spots in the first two pictures. The foam cuts easily either with a utility knife or a pair of scissors. Application is easy and the adhesive is very sticky. Once applied is is very comfortable to walk on and makes a big difference in the comfort of your deck, particularly if you are barefoot. Some suggestions for applying: Let the sheet age and relax for a few days prior to using preferably in the sun where it can get hot. The foam will shrink a very small amount so you want that shrink out before you cut and apply. Also, a roller is a must. It was obvious that even after pressing and walking on it, rolling the foam still found areas that did not have good adhesion. Last thing to mention is more of a personal preference. I would suggest making templates and cutting sections as opposed to trying to cut this in place. It's a little more work but you will be happier with the final result. You can find examples on-line. Update: two full seasons and this looks as the good as the day I put it down. We’re in dry storage so it’s not in the sun all day, every day but it’s had two summers of use. Only issue was the adhesive started to dry out in a few places but it’s easy to fix with contact cement you can get at a big box store. I’d recommend waiting to do that until it’s needed since to do the entire job that way can be messy and unforgiving once it sets.

Does not get hot!
We purchased this to replace the worn out carpeting in our boat. This has such a nice feel while walking on it and it does not get hot. We live in Arizona and things get hot quickly in the sun. It’s so nice not to burn your feet. Take your time putting this together and it turns out very nice. I can’t speak to the durability yet as we just installed it. We have one trip to the lake so far with eight people on our boat, it seems to have held up for that one trip. I will update as time goes on. I can speak to the stickiness of the adhesive, I cleaned my sub decking to make sure it was dust, free and ready for install. I find there are several areas that are starting to peel, I’m going to remedy this by putting carpet glue down. 8-8-23 update We still enjoy this flooring. Things to note: The floor has shrunk slightly and has revealed some of the sub flooring, not a big deal but one to note. The adhesive backing is not very strong, I recommend putting down outdoor carpet glue, it helps to hold this down well. The floor stains very easily, make sure to clean with soapy water right after use or you will have different colored spots from water, dirt and spilled drinks etc. Still is cool to the touch and easy to Walk on, even while being out in the sun on 118 degree days.

Took my time and made it look sexy AF
Ordered 4 rolls for my tiny compac 16. Took my time with making the templates perfect and it paid off. Instantly add the most beautiful lines on the boat and has been a huge hit in my sailing community. Plus my wife like to sit on the bow and the foam feels amazing. Be careful of the glue tach on the back. It is extremely sticky if you mess up you mess up big time so take your time measure twice cut once and always use a sharp razor blade to cut the material just in the four pieces I used seven razor blades to get the real fine cuts. I've had all my sailboat for almost a month. Well that doesn't sound a lot but I have sailed 26 of those 30 days mostly on night cruises in My back Bay. This thing has seen crazy abuse with salt water twisting kneeling rubbing it hasn't lost any thing and glue is still strong. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this product and would recommend it to everyone and do. My only concern is the only way to scrape up a mistake or let's say an entire patch is to use massive amounts of acetone and a scraper this stuff is stuck for life lol which you can't fault them for that it also adds Superior grip protection I mistakenly put a semi-gloss code on the top deck and made everything slick as hell but ended up being the perfect Bond to make on the glue. Expands and contracts
Surface was cleaned and finished with acetone. Easy to apply and adhesive stuck solid for a full season and through winter so far. Stuck to fiberglass and wood. This can get hot in the sun, and it does expand and contract. But real teak splinters, discolours, and looks like garbage much quicker, so take your pick. In fact we put this over some grayed out teak steps. We love this. It looks great, and super easy to install and clean.

Not symmetrical, it shrinks in sunlight, etc!! No Good!!
We bought this to do a balcony. The description made it appear good for swimming pool areas, so I assumed that implied water resistant, all weather, etc. I don’t have an opinion yet on how it winters (it snows here…) But I will tell you right now, do not waste your money. First is the lack of consistency! The stripes do not line up, the machine that cut the rolls didn’t cut them identically from one roll to the next. I ordered 10 rolls, and only 3 had the same spacing from the end of one to the start of the next piece. So that causes the whole project to be a little wrong. The next thing is the lengths are also not identical. I’m very aware that this sort of material will stretch, especially on a hot install day, so we were very careful to store the pieces not in use yet in the shade, too lessen the heat and stretchy characteristics. I’m not new to installing flooring, this stuff was not very well cut at the factory. It looks nice once down, but if you are expecting it to look seamless in the symmetry, you’re going to not be happy. The last thing was the wax paper backing Was terrible!!! No matter how carefully the 2 of us worked together (and this is a 2 person job if installing more than probably 4 sq ft pieces) the stupid paper would tear like cheap old masking tape off the roll. Yeah, you know what I’m talking about. Very annoying!!! This material wasn’t cheap, so I’m not leaving terribly glowing responses to it. If you were doing small areas ( nothing more than a sheet at a time) it would probably be great. But trying to do large areas has turned into more work than it should have, for results that I’m not happy with. UPDATE AFTER A FEW WEEKS I did not submit my reply until I could watch the stuff for another month. I absolutely wish I had never spent over $1000 on a bunch of it now. I’m gonna have to literally peel it up and take it to the dump. It is coming off of the surface which was clean and smooth, it’s buckling, it shrinks in the sunlight, the stuff is the worst. If you are going to use just one piece of it and it doesn’t matter if it does those things then it would be wonderful. But if you need this to actually look good and be affective, do not waste your money

This product requires some finess to make look good.
I will update this after I install the product into my boat... I have just spent hours cutting this stuff and matching it to templates taken off the boat. I will be doing only my interior and be using 3m spray to help adhesion. What I can say is that this product requires quite a lot of work to make it nice. The foam is easy to cut, not so easy to glue, and since they roll it up to ship it it is very curved. I had to use a lot of weight to hold it down and even tape it down to the surface I was working on or it would curl up onto me. I used superglue to bond the pieces I cut together. The super glue does work, but it is not super easy. I found myself needing to glue small sections at a time. Unfortunately, there were some areas that I didn't cut it precisely enough and there are small gaps that look unsightly. I plan to try sanding some leftover material into a powder and using it and CA to fill the gaps... that or a caulking that is close in color. I had a quote for all the pieces I made from Sea Deck for 1000.00 for a do it yourself install, that is they would make the pieces off the templates and send them to me to install myself. I spent about 250.00 on this stuff instead. Given how it has come out (not perfect or super professional looking) I am really wishing I had just sent the templates to Sea Deck and paid the extra money. This is a good low cost option, but it is not sea deck... If you want it to look nice, be prepared to spend a lot of time and frustration with making it look nice. I will put it in for now and plan to in the future have sea deck do their thing.

Better than expected.
This product turned out better than we had expected and we expected it to be great...it acfally turned out to be fantastic! We put this flooring in the main salon of our boat after removing the carpet. We did use indoor/outdoor carpet adhesive just in case the adhesive already on the flooring was not quite enough. It was easy to cut and apply. It is very, very important to make templates before cutting the flooring and to not be in a rush to finish the project. Do not skip this step. We have yet to add the separate trim (different company and product material) we purchased to trim the floor hatches and adjoining areas. We expect the flooring to last longer than suggested due to putting indoor outdoor area rugs on top of our new flooring. We will probably continue with this flooring throughout the rest of our boat. Love it!
