Teeny Tiny Spice Co of Vermont Organic Harissa, 2.8 Oz

In my opinion, this is one of the best spice companies you can find. Their products are fresh, delicious, and offer the average cook an opportunity to make extraordinary food. Since experimenting with many of these spaces, I have taken my taste profiles of my food to a whole new level. This is a spice which has some heat. You could mix it with water or oil to make a paste, and you can also use it as a dry rub. I would warn you that unless you are used to a little heat, use this sparingly.

I love this company, and this is my all-time favorite flavor! I am not usually one to appreciate the heat, but this is all-together a different story. It is hot, don't get me wrong, but it is different than the usual tabasco or chili peppers. I won't burn your face off, but it is a slow, deep hot with rich earthy flavors. I put it in EVERYTHING! Red rice? Yes! Stew? Of course! Egg salad? You betcha! Wait, what? That's right, I put it in EVERYTHING! Love it. Love it. Love it.

I have a half dozen of this company's spice mixtures and they are all excellent. Creative, fresh, and they've mad me lazy. I still make my own from scratch, but these never fail to satisfy. Several great curry mixtures too. But this Harissa blend has become a staple in the kitchen for dozens of uses.

I really like this one, it is as spicy as I expected. I had it once before and I really liked it. Also some recipes that I was interested in trying and they called for it. But every other place that I looked for it, the price was a bit more then I was willing to pay. These are very well priced.

Another wonderful spice from this great company. This one is very spice and a little goes a long way. My family loved it in meatballs. Any of the spice make wonderful gift to anybody willing to try something out of the ordinary. They also make great hostess gifts.

Great price for a hard to find spice. I had been looking for some new spices to try out and Harissa was on my list. The spice blend is tasty, but not as spicy as I expected. It has a mild heat and has been great to cook with. I love the tin too!
