Is this safe for Vegans to wear? What is the fabric made of?

100% polyester. I have worn this shirt on my last 2 rides and it just feels great. Just curious about what you consider "safe" for vegans.

I'm 5"7 and a 31inch waste, should I purchase a small or medium for an athletic fit?

I'm the same size I went with the medium it a bit snug aping the arms maybe cause my arms are more toned from working out but the waist area with the medium is a good fit a tab bit lose which is fine and better then being way to snug. I would go with the medium-sized as I did . I'm 5'8 31 waist 147lb and medium is perfect

No, I haven’t found that. Shirt is designed to be form-fitting, but for me, it doesn’t bind or make me feel restricted.

Is this a winter or jacket for spring/automn?

I use this shirt year round cause I live in San Diego and I love it for summer cause it keeps the sun off my arms and for when temp drops in winter it’s great. Not a jacket for real winter conditions. I’ve bought 5 of these, 3 white, 1 yellow neon and 1 red. Quality is great!
