Had a customer order some shelves and wanted these pipe brackets to mount the shelves on. The customer was very happy with how they turned out and I was too. Sturdy and easy to install. They look great too. I added the clothes hanger underneath which worked out great.

First of all - for everyone who is saying that this is not like black iron pipe you would get in the plumbing section of Home Depot - it's NOT that kind of pipe - it is a DECORATIVE SHELF BRACKET THAT LOOKS LIKE PIPE. It is made of thinner metal and the threads and the flanges cannot be compared to black pipe for industrial use because it is not the same kind of pipe - it is not designed to carry natural gas or water - it is a decorative shelf bracket. The second thing you need to be aware of is that the anchors that are provided in the kit are for 1/2 inch sheetrock. If you live in a mobile or manufactured home with 3/8 inch sheetrock the anchors will not work correctly and your shelf will not hold. So if your living situation is associated with thinner sheetrock you will want to buy your own anchors to hold the screws. With that out of the way, once you have realistic expectations for the pipe and make sure your anchors are appropriate for your sheetrock, it is easy to install and looks quite lovely when done.

The product works great, however, one of the small straight pieces were not threaded. We cannot complete our shelves without the 6th small straight piece threaded. Is this a common occurrence from this company? If you can resend a replacement, I'd appreciate it.
