This is the good stuff, arguably the most potent OTC cognitive enhancer currently backed with sound research. A lot of products I have tried have either been entirely bogus or at excessively low doses for optimal effect, but I can already tell Bulk Supplements delivers the authentic goods. A note to new users: Some people see an immediate benefit, but it can take time for others. Like many similar supplements, you are likely to see optimal results after 3-5 weeks of daily use. This product sold in this form is incredibly cost effective though, with an average of 1-2 years of recommended dosage in the 10 gram size. I plan to seek other supplements through Bulk Supplements of the sort of supplements that are particularly prone to being fake on the shelf (including most of the better known brands, in my experience). Don't forget your milligram scales; the dosage is quite tiny to the point of being impossible to accurately eyeball.

This product is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and THERE IS NO WARNING ON THE PACKAGE - Life-Threatening Reaction, and No Accountability I took exactly what the label recommended — nothing else, no food, no other supplements, no known allergies. Within less than 5 minutes my entire body became paralyzed. I couldn’t move, breathe properly, or speak clearly (slurred speech). Severe muscle cramps and pain hit everywhere, my blood pressure dropped dangerously low, vision blurred, intense vomiting and diarrhea started. I genuinely believed I was dying — one of the most terrifying moments of my life. My son rushed me to the ER where I spent two days hospitalized (they initially wanted to keep me longer for monitoring). Medical bills reached approximately $16,790.45. Over 3 months later (as of March 2026) I still suffer severe intestinal dysfunction and chronic constipation I never had before — requiring daily enemas and strong laxatives just to function. This has caused ongoing pain, exhaustion, and major disruption to my life. I filed a claim through Amazon’s A-to-z process for bodily injury. No one — Amazon, Sedgwick, or the manufacturer — has taken responsibility or provided meaningful help. This isn’t just a bad supplement experience; it’s a serious safety failure with inadequate warnings and zero support afterward. PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL if you’re considering this product. The risks are real and potentially life-threatening, and there is no safety net if something goes wrong. I’m giving one star only because negative stars aren’t allowed.

I was so impressed with the high quality of my first Bulk Supplement purchase (DMAE) that I keep ordering more I believe I have ordered a total of five products from them now and plan on ordering a couple of more. I have heard complaints about some of the zip lock seals not working on some of the products. I had that problem with one product. The product was a very fine powder and it embedded in the zip lock seal. I just took a tack (pin, needle, whatever) and ran it inside the zip lock seal to clean it out. The bag seals perfectly now. This product is a fine powder and it is actually packaged in a smaller zip lock bag inside the bigger one. No problems with the seal on this one. They also have a huge array of supplements they carry. As a side note, I have had a couple of questions on some products. I can say that I have received very good customer service from Bulk Supplements. I plan on doing business with them for a long time.

I have issues with getting distracted during my studies, staying focused on assignments, and working on things absentmindedly; some expected woes of a college student. Along with my basic nootropic/supplement stack (Piracetam, Choline L-Bitartrate, Caffeine) this stuff really makes a difference. When using Huperzine A, along with my stack, I tend to ignore thoughts that would normally distract me, develop ideas that are much more sound, and have a distinct sharpness when I articulate myself. I'm not going to claim that Huperzine A along with my stack alone allows me to ascend beyond my issues, but I'm convinced that these help me when I set my mind to a "get-ish-done" mentality. This, along with other nootropics, won't make you the big brain on campus, but if you're willing to push yourself to just sit down and toil away at something, this will definitely help. As always, your mileage may vary.

Huperzine-A is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, which means it stops the relevant enzymes from degrading acetylcholine, so that we have more of it in circulation. Used in Alzheimer's for this reason, and supposed to help with lucid dreaming as well. That said, organophosphate pesticides also work by (irreversible) acetylcholinesterase inhibition. I have reason to believe that my system is in general a "choline hog." I had been taking choline along with some huperzine-A tablets for a while with no great effects, but when I received this stuff I had an intense experience of rampant undegraded choline. The dosage is very small, and I took a small dose. But I had, essentially, a small version of organophosphate poisoning for a whole night and into the next two days. Acetylcholine governs the parasympathetic response, so think all the parasympathetic activities--massive salivation, diarrhea, only not vomiting with supreme effort, slowed heart rate... as well as extreme muscle cramps, hallucinations, muscular weakness, slurred speech, and extreme fatigue. If I hadn't understood exactly what was going on, I might have been scared. Huperzine-A has a fairly long half life (12+ hours), so this went on for a long time. The best I could do was stay under the covers and try not to move at all. I was sure that the choline+huperzine A combination was what did me in (when I thought it would make me feel great)! So less than a week later, I tried it again. This time, I took a much lower dose of huperzine-A, no choline, and I took a small amount of anticholinergic (cheap diphenhydramine) to inhibit any excess circulating choline. Long story short, this time I got really sick again, maybe marginally less bad but only marginally; just that it was a delayed onset (perhaps protected by the diphenhydramine initially). It's possible that I affected my receptors in a negative way with the first "trip" and that this is why it was bad the second time. It should also be said that I have a history of odd or paradoxical responses to herbs and supplements (although up to now I thought this was just with GABA-ergic and endorphin-impactng substances). So it may not affect others the same way. But at this point, I don't want to try huperzine-A again for a LONG time!! Once again, those huperzine-A tablets (which weren't cheap) did absolutely squat, so you can be sure that this is the real deal.

I've filled capsules a lot, but never has been filling capsules been such a pain. I figured that .20 milligrams was equal to 200 micrograms. Then, I measured out the correct amount on my digital scale using a pharmacy spoon. However, from there things went downhill. I measured the 0 capsule and found its weight didn't show up as measurable on the scale. I began filled the first capsule to 200 mcg, but in the process, the powder pretty much went everywhere. Finally, instead of trying to fill the capsuled from the scale, I used a glass plate and poured part of the powder onto it. After that, I filled the capsules by scraping the powder off of the plate. I also filled the capsules to the same height in hopes of getting, but it took over and hour and a half to fill 26 capsules. As well, the powder made the capsules slippery, so I lost more of the powdered gold in the process. I'm aware that the .88 oz is supposed to last quite awhile, but should I find that the supplement helps with my memory, I plan on buying it the next time in capsule form. 180 Capsules of Huperzine A at 400mcg/serving, at $23 would be a lot let stressful and time consuming.

Buyer warning. This will have you laid up all day throwing up if you take too much, and it's easy to do.

Don't buy this product in loose powder form. I accidentally measured out 150 mg instead of a 15 mg dose and the result was diarrhea and violent vomiting for six hours. You need a very accurate milligram scale. The powder is very fine and its hard to measure out the small dose. The effects of an overdose are very powerful. If you want to try Huperzine A, I recommend you get it in premeasured capsules.
