- Irish Mist Shamrock's attractive fan-shaped leaves remain green in color with distinctive white spots throughout the year. The flowers are not ornamentally significant. This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and may require the occasional pruning to look its best. Deer don't particularly care for this plant and will usually leave it alone in favor of tastier treats. It has no significant negative characteristics. Oxalis triangularis ”Irish Mist” has white patterns that vary in density and form, everything between almost invisible to very clear, but are ALWAYS very irregular. The spots become more visible when grown in semi shade or only exposed to direct sun for a couple of hours. It has white flower and blooms for a long time. This is a dense herbaceous houseplant with a mounded form. Wood Sorrel is also commonly called Shamrock... Shamrock, indeed! Clusters of pink to white funnel-shaped flowers on tender stems rise above the leaves and flower for a long time. Good potted windowsill plant but is garden worthy in USDA climate zones 7 to 10
