Q: Will the screw placement be able to replace the Regent R7482?

I replaced an existing closer but I don't remember what brand it was. Sorry! For my application it was a direct replacement, as I suspect most will be.

Q: My outswing door is inset into a 6-inch frame. Can this be mounted to the door and then to the frame beside it?

Hi David. You would have to look at the different mounting hardware that comes with this product. I believe so. In the instructions it shows all different details of different types of door jams.

Q: Why does the description for the product say hold open when it doesn't hold open?

Hi there, There are two versions of this unit, one having the hold-open feature while the other doesn't have it. You can see 4 color options on the listing and it has a label if it is a HO version or not. I hope this helps!

Same problem I would get sometimes and people not really able to figure out what is happening and sometimes a sign is needed. Eve the it depends on the intellect of the operators.
