It doesn't discolour the old bricks (the barn was built in 1798) nor the mortar. If your tiles are the old fashioned pan tiles they should be fine. The only drawback is that the rain tends to lessen the effect of the repellent so you will need to reapply it after a hefty shower or prolonged rain. It's a bit of a pain but the stuff really works well as long as it's dry. **Q: I’ve got a flat roof, loft extension, but would the spray damage the material used on the flat roof? Thanks** A: This product contains ammonium sulphate which corrodes metal. However it was once used as a wood preservative. The only use would be to throw the bottle at the feral pigeons. I used it several times, thought I may have not read the instructions properly so followed them meticulously and within 10 minutes of spraying on a fence, including the top, I had 3 feral pigeons sitting on precisely the same spot.
