Neat little Robot
I’ve had this for a few weeks in my robotics class and I just wanted to thoroughly test it before reviewing it. I love how easy it is to use. It took me seconds to set it up. I got the app on the iPad and it didn’t take very long to charge it. No wifi/ Bluetooth connection is needed. Calibrating it is very easy. You just turn it on and hold it for a few seconds until it flashes and then you set it on the iPad in the circle and a calibrates within seconds. I love that there are lots of games for my students to play in the app. And it typically will last at least 3 hours without being charged. (that is constant play) I have two struggles with it though, I really want my students to code it and I am struggling to find the right app to do that. I didn’t realize when I bought it that there’s a difference between a bit and an Evo. The app that is coding looks like it’s for Evo. I will update my review if I figure out how to make it code. It’s also nice that you can use it without technology, there are several mats that you can use that it comes with and you can also build your own with markers. You can also decorate it, but my sixth and seventh graders were not interested in decorating it. I do think that would be cool for a younger kid though. I am noticing that my sixth and seventh graders are starting to grow board with it which surprises me a little. I feel like if I can find the coding app I might be able to get some of my higher achievers. As it stands right now my good programmers will play with it for one class and have fun just playing but they’re looking for something a little more challenging. I think that this would also be great to take to a restaurant, or a place where you know that your child is going to have to sit for a while. I can see a very young child being able to use it because it is so simple, but it does get a little more challenging as you choose the different games on the iPad. Because it is so small and portable and you can charge it off of your phone it would keep a child busy for a while. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars was the fact that I’m struggling to find the coding part of it.

Defective product- Horrible customer service
The robot they sent never worked. It wouldn’t power on. I have a Girls Who Code club and the club sent us money to purchase this. When it came defective, my students were so disappointed. I wanted a replacement but the seller wouldn’t offer one. I sent the robot back for a refund and they charged a HUGE restocking fee which made it impossible to purchase a replacement. When I asked them about the restocking fee they said I sent back a used product and when they showed me pictures I realized that the wrong markers were in the case. I understand what they are saying. However, the markers are worth a tiny fraction of the amount I paid. They sent me a defective robot and refused to make it right, and the worst thing is that it’s the little girls who will be the most affected

fun. but not as versatile as the advertising makes it sound. if you can get them into programming mode these are very fun. That is a big if though. The starter pack comes with a clear ozobot. I'm clarifying that because i accidentally bought three for my 2 kids because the product description made the starter pack sound like it was just stickers and markers. Also the starter pack doesn't have anything different or that you can't make with your own paper and crayons. the colors and pattern values for programming are in the instruction book and you can make your own. They really did a good job with how obscure the product description is in order to trick you in to spending more of your money than you need to. Basically fancy bubble shaped wind-up cars that will drive on a path you draw and do tricks if you can get them in to program mode. The online apps don't work very well and there are little to no instructions for the websites. this will yield you about 2-3 hours of fun.

Great, but no stickers, pop-outs, or helmet
The product description and video states that this item includes stickers, pop-outs, and a helmet. Ours did not come with that included, so I returned it and exchanged it for another one hoping it would be complete. However, it was identical to the first. Apparently, they are no longer including the stickers, pop-outs, or helmet: they should update their product description. Other than that, it seems to be a great product. My 9-year-old daughter loves the activity sheets. She was able to figure it out on her own. We are hoping to have lots of fun while learning how to code with this little robot!

Overall good, but markers may be dry.
My son was super excited to get his own Ozobot after playing with some at school. Overall it’s been great but some of the markers were dried out upon opening the box. The robot doesn’t do as well with other markets because they aren’t the right thickness. For the price we paid, it’s disappointing to have to buy new markers right from the start.

Great Toy for Learning to Code
I already have four Ozobots that I use to teach coding in my Science Club. My daughter enjoyed them so much that she wanted an Ozobot of her own. The Starter Pack comes with activity sheets, markers, and other accessories to get you started. Once you learn what Ozobots can do, you can go to the Ozobot website and get more games, or even learn how to code in Blockly language to program your own Ozobot (Yes, you can actually program your Ozobot by writing the code, then holding the robot up to the computer screen!). These little robots are no bigger than a ping-pong ball, but they are wonderful tools to teach coding to both kids and adults. I highly recommend them!

Very impressive
My son informed me 1 week before Christmas that this was the one thing he really wanted. He had used it at school. I’m always hesitant buying tech toys for the kids because I have a hard time figuring them out and I don’t want them absorbed in the computer. The second he took it out of the box I knew it was worth it. He got it up and working right away and it is a pretty neat thing. I haven’t had to do anything to help him. He loves making different tracks for it.

Neat toy, better quality control would help.
Got this as a gift for my niece. Pretty neat gift for young or even older kids to get the hang of computer learning. Only problem was that when we opened the box the green marker was totally empty. The tip was white leading us to assume it was shipped without ever being filled. Have to get a new marker but besides that it's a neat toy.
