I bought these to take to the beach for my grandchildren to enjoy during our inside time.(They are a 6 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. )Boy, did I pick a winning set! I wanted coloring books that were not linked to a movie or tv character. These pictures are top quality and there were 3 books, so there was always a picture each could find and enjoy without fussing about sharing. The pages are larger than normal, the paper is thick and durable , and the pages turn from the top and fold over nicely. They can be removed from the book without ripping if an adult does it, but usually each child could find a page to enjoy from separate books.We are a month back from the beach, and the children are still enjoying them. Melissa and Doug products are alwsys top notch!

These are the best coloring books. I love how big they are:1. Nice big spaces for easy small child coloring.2. Easy for multiple to color the same page - my daughter loves to have me color with her and the pages are good enough that we both have space to work on the same page. And, my daughter doesn't get irate when her little brother wants to also color that page.The book is well held together so the pages only come out if you want them to. Well, if your kid wants the page to come out it will likely come out in multiple pieces because it is so well put together. But I prefer this over pages everywhere after a few coloring sessions. They travel well, too! While they might be too big for a restaurant table (unless you don't mind eating off it), take them anyway!And the pictures are good ones - detailed, but not overly complicated. And nothing weird. I've noticed some kid things do weird things like refer to a roster as a cock. Which is fine... but not really that fine.

We all love to color in my family. We range in age from 5 on up to 61, and with these books, we can all find something we would like to color, whether it be animals or vehicles, or construction equipment, or I think flowers, etc. There is something for everyone, and we share our crayons and colored pencils and spend time together talking and laughing, and the only thing on that is electric is the kitchen or living room light. So nice!! Easy to color, nice lines to keep colors separate, and you dont have to spend hours on 1 pic if you dont want to.

I want to start by saying that I bought these out of laziness. I wanted to get some coloring books for a 2 year old for Christmas, and while looking at other things, these popped up as a recommended item. I thought the price was ridiculous for some coloring books, but didn’t feel like going to the store or looking for other ones. When they arrived though, I was impressed. They are pretty big and sturdy, each of the 3 have lots of large pages, with fun images for a child to draw all over or color in. As with other Melissa and Doug items, they are very much aimed at young kids, and ended up, in my opinion, worth the money. You get three thick, heavy duty, large books full of different pictures. While these were inteded to be a stocking stuffer, they ended up being a wrapped gift. They are far too big for a stocking, and can’t be rolled up to be stuffed in. Pair this with some easy clean markers or crayons, and you have a happy kid!

If you’ve got a kid artist in the house, these are perfect! So many pages to color! Great value for the money. The pictures are nice and big for young ones to color. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to have artwork galore posted around your house.
