Hobart Machine Washable Blanket, King, Hazel

I really like this blanket. It is not rough or scratchy - Its actually quite nice and soft for wool. The amethyst color is rich and not faded. It's warm but not too warm - good for 40s and 50s with just a bedspread on top. It's light and easy to fold up. Very happy with this product.

A thin, non scratchy blanket that keeps you warm. My main reasons for the 3 star rating are: Too thin, hardly any weight to it. Surrounding hem is cheap and is fraying already. Lastly, seems like a decent blanket overall, but overpriced for what it is.

I like wool blankets and this one didn't disappoint. It is not terribly thick or heavy but is quit warm and comfortable. Not very scratchy and is big enough to easily cover a queen sized bed with enough to spare. you can wash in cold on gentle with wool detergent. Another big plus. I plan to get another.

Only giving 4 stars because we just received this yesterday so have no experience re: how it will hold up. But I wanted to share how impressed we are with this blanket! Coincidentally, last night was the first night of the season when the temp dipped into the single digits. This blanket looks terrific: it is thick, soft and the denim color is a rich blue. best of all, it is really warm. If you live in a climate that gets cold, esp. at night, definitely give this a try! I was a bit dubious given the reused wool it is made of. because the price for a kingsize bed was so good, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. I will update this review after we've had it a while and I launder it. I anticipate no problems in which case I would move my assessment to a "must buy"! PS don't be put off by the whipstitch finish.. I have had too many "luxury" woolen blankets with satin bindings that come apart into shreds after a couple of years. the whip stitching lasts.

I don't recommend this blanket. It attracts pet hair like a magnet. I brushed it..used an adhesive roller on it..and washed it. Washing it ..which the label says you can do...isn't something I would recommend to anyone...You end up with little pilled up balls of wool that separate from the blanket...I telephoned 2 separate dry cleaners and they stated that they are not able to remove pet hair from blankets. They would try...at a dry cleaning cost of $25 plus tax...but, they said trying to get the fur out (which tangles itself into the fabric) is something they also have to do by hand. And, they guarantee nothing.

This is a awesome blanket. The blanket keeps you warm and comfortable and is also soft to the touch. My dog sleeps on the bed so I washed it once already and it came out perfect. The wool blend makes it durable. I highly recommend this blanket especially if you need to wash it monthly.

Excellent. Very large, softer than the other wool blanket I own, and it came through the wash (and a gently low heat tumble dry even though they recommend against it) without any problems. I tend to be too warm when I sleep, and this has been perfect. On particularly cold nights, it's large enough to be folded over and still cover 1 person very comfortably as well. I'd buy again in a heartbeat.

Ordered two washable wool blankets after a search for lightweight, warm blankets. Have a family member experiencing some neuropathy in their feet, who found that heavier blankets were becoming increasingly uncomfortable. Had never been a fan of wool blankets from childhood, but was drawn in by all of the glowing reviews ;) and with this blanket, we must add our voices to the chorus :) It is Truly soft, incredibly lightweight, WARM and Beautiful too! (It is a lovely heathered camel color.) We have not washed it yet, but are quite hopeful that it will fulfill that claim as well. Wonderful product.
