Perfect Galaga and Great Pac Man Experience
First off the Jakk's Retro Arcade is must, and I am very pleased to have purchased. Let me answer some of the questions I had before buying. This is in fact a digital arcade stick--but hold your horses! Jakk's has found a solution to the digital downfall of most remade arcade games. There are bumpers in the 4 corners of the control stick i.e. you can never press up and left at the same time. For these games that is key. Every other rendition of the classic PacMan has failed on just that note, because most digital arcade sticks have no preference over up or left when both are pressed. So our dear little PacMan goes the wrong way. If I was unclear, I was let down at first that it was a digital stick, but way won over after experiencing the playability. The Galaga is spot on. It is my favorite, but since I tend to take a long turn we usually don't get to play that one. The Pole Position does actualy play by twisting the top of the stick like a wheel, a different feel for the game. There are a few other PacMan spins included that also play well. Here is my only complaint! The encoding of PacMan changed the timing and speed of the game. The first level (cherry) is much harder than it used to be. We used to (and still can on our classic nintendo that still works) break 10k on the first level. In this rendition of PacMan it is nearly impossible to eat 4 ghosts on 1 powerpellet. Those ghosts tend to disapear like a 'scent' on the wind, and the timer is way short for a power pellet. We tend to only make the 4th or 5th screen at most on a great game, but it is still PacMan and we have had a wonderful time playing it.

Life changing.....
If you want to be a productive citizen, this is not the purchase for you. After receiving this game pack, I purchased a year supply of batteries, Mountain Dew, and Pringles (Sour Cream & Onion), sat in the basement, and played this game pack. That was 7 years ago. Today, I'm divorced. My three kids have all finished high school. I've missed 4 family reunions. I still haven't left the basement. I was able to stretch the year supply of Dew and chips to last 22 months. Since then, I've discovered that wood and sofa cushion is a source of sustainment. Although I've lost over 100 pounds, my thumbs and hand-eye coordination have never been stronger. This game has changed my life and it'll change yours too!

IT IS BLACK AND WHITE! NO COLORS!
This was intended as a present to my girlfriend because we used to play on a pac man arcade at a bar when we started hanging out. The box is full of color and the images from gameplay displayed on the box are colored too...which would make you think that the thing has colors too....well, it is black and white, all the games that are included are black and white too. Intentionally mis-advertised and a total disappointment. Please don't buy unless you want a black and white, cheap plastic box.

The best plug and play video game for the money!
We have a lot of video games from a classic 80's Atari through Wii, we have family with the latest X-Box 360 devices and what were we all playing this past New Year's eve but this inexpensive Retro Arcade Pac Man plug and play. This plays just like the 80's Arcade games we spent hours dropping quarters into in malls back in the day. Galaga, Galaxian, Pole Position, Pac-Man and many more. You could spend 20 times the amount of money on a high end game system and games and not have the fun that you will have with this simple, fun and sturdy unit. Buy it for a child or buy it to bring to a party of full grown baby boomers or Gen-Xers and you will be a winner.

Bring back them Old days Baby!
First off, I can't believe the price hike since I bought this item. I only paid $19.99 , which is the suggested retail price at the manufacturer website. The games are great but the controller takes some getting used to. It seems a little off in the response time but works ok after you get accustomed to it. I was able to conquer several levels of pac man and galaga. The only problem I had was Pole Position wasn't allowing me to control the car AT ALL. I called the company (took a week for a call back) and they said you have to actually twist the remote like a door knob left and right to control the car, who would have known? It would have been nice if they actually included this info in the manual. Otherwise, this game system is pretty hot and I would recommend it. I took off a star for the controller response.Update: 2/13/11 The controller is response is fine. It just took a few games to get used to playing that old style joystick. The only thing I don't like is the buttons are situated on the controller for left handed players. I totally recommend this product.

Hours of fun with this game!!
I bought this Pac Man TV game hoping to have a little fun playing the "old" games I grew up with. And I have to say, I've spent way too much time playing all the games on this thing! My kids love it, too. In fact, this is the game all their friends want to play when they come over, so I've bought 5 or 6 more to date for their friends' birthdays, and will probably buy more in the future. I'll probably order another just so I'll have a backup if ours ever breaks!!

CONTROL WAS A LITTLE STIFF, BUT IT WORKS
NOT EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, BUT IT WORKS. I PURCHASED THIS BECAUSE I AM A PAC MAN FAN!!! THE CONTROLS ARE A LITTLE STIFF. MY FOUR YEAR OLD SON, PLAYS WITH IT, AND HE SEEMS TO ENJOY IT. SO IT WASNT A WASTE OF MONEY, JUST WASNT FOR ME.

And six years later.....
It's called "Mappy" in my house. We purchased this 6 years ago. It has been played on the highway and in other countries and is still going strong. I just pulled it out today not sure if it was still working but even post WII console this is still a hit. I'm still not sure how Mappy became so popular with my kids. Never played that game much in the 80s.
