It works!
This works! I have fine hair. I get static more often in the winter, but I occasionally get it in the summer, too. I squirt a pump or two in my hand and massage it in. The static is gone instantly.

Take it from the Queen of Static, THIS WORKS!!
HALLELUJAH! Sorry, just had to get that out of the way. People are always complimenting me on my hair. "Oh it's so soft and shiny, I'm so jealous!" they say as they pet me. Yes, when properly cared for, fresh after a shower, my hair is very soft and shiny and straight. What they don't realize are the battles I fight on a daily basis to keep it looking ok. My hair is thin and baby fine and stick straight. It won't hold a curl to SAVE MY LIFE, it quickly becomes tangled, easily loses volume, becomes limp and lifeless and gets oily. I have to brush it ALL THE TIME. The worst problem is probably the static, especially in the winter. Every time I take off my coat it's like I'm back in 8th grade science class with my hand on the Van de Graaff generator. They always used me as the guinea pig for those things because my hair responds the best (see pics for my hair type).I have tried EVERYTHING to reduce the static in my hair from expensive shampoos and conditioners to sandalwood hair brushes. I carry lotion and dryer sheets with me everywhere and when I'm in a pinch I pull out a dryer sheet or lather up my hands with lotion and rub some into the ends of my hair if I'm really desperate, but this either leaves my hair weighed down and dull/greasy or makes my head smell like apple mango tango.I bought this stuff in hopes of helping me with my problem prior to traveling to Arizona where my family lives for not one but 2 extended family photo shoots in a single weekend. It's even drier in AZ than where I live and I was worried my flying hair would ruin the picture. It arrived just in time and I was THRILLED that it actually worked!I will say for the price I was expecting a bigger bottle, but whatever. After I wash and dry my hair, I spray one spritz of this stuff onto my hair brush and brush the ends of my hair up about half way at most. After brushing half my head, I spray one more spray and do the other side. I don't use this on the top of my head at all. That seems to be enough to last for several hours or the whole day depending on what else I do. For example, if I walk through wind and need to brush my hair many times, I'll probably need more, but if I do, I usually will spray it on my palms, rub together and then rub my palms over the ends of my hair once more and that will do the trick! I still keep dryer sheets with me since they're easier to tote in my bag than this bottle of spray, but I find myself using less and less dryer sheets than I ever have! This spray is TRULY scentless, which is just fine with me! I like being able to choose what I want my hair/head to smell like while still eliminating static. I appreciate that. Yes, this is expensive. Yes, this will weigh your hair down if you use too much or spray it directly on your hair. Yes, the bottle is kinda small. BUT IT WORKS!!! I'm a huge fan and will probably be a lifelong user if it continues to work this well for me. For the record I did NOT receive this product for free or at a discount. Hope this helps!

Unchanged, but my baby hairs/frizz may need more help than this product can offer
This product did not help my issue, but maybe it'll help yours? I have some major baby hairs/regrowth and some days I wake up and the static/hair standing up is UNREAL. I normally take some brow gel and smooth them down, but I wanted to try something easier--a quick fix! I was eager to try this product but sadly I do not think it's for me. The pics I posted are after applying the product to a teasing brush then smoothing, as well as then applying it with my hands and then smoothing again, multiple times with no effect at all. It is winter in Arizona right now so it could be extra difficult with my environment, but a good way to test the product's abilities.I did like how the product was not heavy and did not make it my hair look oily even after multiple applications.I think this product is not meant for frizz but for static only which you can use a dryer sheet for.

No more static!
My daughter recommended this product, and it really helps when my hair is full of static!

Does not work
Very disappointing. Hair static is gone for a few minutes and then it's back in a few minutes. I've applied it both wet and dry hair. I've sprayed it on my brush and I've applied it with my hands. Waste of money.

attracts dirt
I read a few reviews that said this product makes your hair greasy. I assumed they just used too much of it. I sprayed one light spray on my hairbrush from about 10 inches away and brushed through my hair. It left my hair slightly greasy and by the end of the day my hair felt dirty to the touch and rough-textured. I think it attracted an held any dirt from the wind, etc. It was moderately good at staving off static flyaway but is not worth the dirty hair.

Worked like magic!
Great product. Sprayed lightly onto towel dry hair, styled and voila…no static.

Static poster child no more!
I have fine, long, straight hair; I live in New England where the heating season is long; and I wear a lot of fleece because I'm always cold. Put it all together and I'm the poster child for static.I tried 6 or 8 other antistatic products before stumbling on ExStatyk. Some were intended for clothing, some for hair. I even tried a couple of industrial antistatic sprays. None of them worked as well as ExStatyk -- they tend to wear off within 2 or 3 hours -- and most of them smell awful. (What is UP with Static Guard? their original scent has to be nastiest odor anybody ever paid money for.) ExStatyk has no detectable scent, thank goodness, and it lasts like crazy -- use it Monday morning and you're good till Tuesday night or even Wednesday morning if you don't wash it out. Brushing doesn't seem to slow it down.Use ExStatyk sparingly! I gave it top "value for money" marks because a little bit goes a very long way. (It's not cheap, but at the rate I'm using it my 4 oz bottle will last more than a year.) I never push the pump all the way down -- just put a few tiny spritzes on your brush, do a few quick, light strokes all around your head, then do a more thorough brushing to work it through. In addition to its antistatic awesomeness, ExStatyk has a mild smoothing effect that I like. It's very light and doesn't make my hair stiff or greasy. I've rarely come across a product that solved a problem so perfectly.
