This is a fantastic toy! It's long-lasting and simple to store away. These are excellent for improving hand-eye coordination. I got this for supervised play with my young grandchildren. There is a single AA battery (2 batteries required but not provided) powered assembly driver with interchangeable straight slot and cross-slot bits provided (adult use of small metal #1 Precision-size Phillips screwdriver is required by child-resistant access design). Also included is a manual driver toy that accepts either the slot or cross-slot bit (only one of each style bit, but they swap between powered and manual tools) as well as one (1) combination wrench. Having multiple tools allows for multi-child play sessions.Different colors, shape, and printed cardboard cut-outs (themes of Animals, Dinosaurs, Space, and Construction) give a huge variety of assembly options for creative play.Unfortunately, the Puzzle Box I received had no latches to keep the box closed in storage (see accompanying photo). With many small parts, this resulted in a 1-star penalty in my opinion.Used with appropriate play supervision for younger aged children, I believe this kit contains enough diversity and challenge to keep kids engaged for quite some time (though I doubt that every age outlined in the ad copy (4 to 12 years) would be interested. Kit seems to feature reasonably durable design and materials (carboard cutouts being most susceptible to damage).
