Looks promising
I bought this about 8 months ago and used it for 3 trips within the US on different major airlines. The storage aspect of it is great and it's really easy to move around. But, after two trips that plastic buckles on the sides broke. After my 3rd trip the lining on the outside broke away (the green outside lining). So now it looks like a shredded piece of garbage after 3 trips. I won't buy anything from High Sierra again. :-(

Very disappointed with the quality of the bag
After reading the reviews here on Amazon, I purchased this bag in late March last year (11 months ago). I especially chose it because of the reviews which stated that it was a hard-wearing bag, as I do a lot of travelling. Since purchasing it, I've taken this bag from the US to Brazil, back to the US and back to Brazil, then to New Zealand and back, as well as on a lot of internal travel within Brazil, from the southern states to the Amazon. However, I can only imagine that the production quality of the bag has declined significantly since some of the more glowing reviews posted here on Amazon. Less than one year after purchase, I have had to send this bag for repair twice and it's about to go back again. The stiching on both the front and the back of the bag has just simply worn out. Both plastic buckles have cracked. One wheel is now tilted, and some of the zipper pullers and the High Sierra logo have simply disappeared. The black fabric on the bottom of the bag is frayed and showing signs that it may soon give out. The velco fastner which is supposed to hold both carrying handles together never worked and I've had to wind a velcro strip around it.As far as its design goes, I'd give this bag five stars. It's great to be able to wear it, wheel it or simply lug it around, and it has a good amount of pockets and dividers, and very useful carry handles at both ends. It also expands to give an amazing amount of storage capacity. It's just a pity that the quality of this product is now so awful that I personally wouldn't recommend this to anybody who is looking for a rugged go-anywhere travel solution.

Zippers are the weak link
My family just came back from a trip to Asia and I took this bag across 4 countries and 20 flight segments in 35 days. My kids and wife got smaller ones. The two compartment design is great. There was a 2 mile hike up mountains where the porters really appreciated the backpack straps. The 32 inch is really too big for international travel. It doesn't fit in a car trunk and if you use all the space, you will certainly go over your weight limit. But that's my fault, I should have known. Two big complaints. There is no easy way to grab this bag. There is a good handle on the top, but it's such a long bag that you will wrench your back easily pulling it off a luggage transporter in the airport. The velcro straps that come together in the middle of the bag to form the better handle always come apart. But the real bummer is that the zippers broke. Fortunately it was the 'expansion' zipper and we could get home okay. But if the main zipper had broken we would have had a mess on their hands.I toyed with a 2-star review, but I'll give it three because I bought this for just over $100, and that's pretty cheap for luggage.

Great value bag
I bought this bag for my move to Asia. Although I normally need two suitcases, I was fine with just this one. The wheels and the handle are both sturdy, and don't seem like they're coming off or breaking anytime soon. The only hesitation I have about this bag, is the size: it almost fits too much stuff. I didn't even have this all the way full, and I came very, very close to being over my airline's weight limit. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Rugged, roomy and lightweight
I bought this bag for a 3 week trip to Patagonia and it far exceeded my expectations. On past trips I carried two conventional wheeled bags and wanted one bag for all my travel needs but still be able to stay within the 50 pound limit. I was totally amazed by how roomy this duffle is and yet still relatively lightweight, weighing just under 11 pounds. Yet it is extreemly well constructed and rugged. I took a total of 6 flights on the trip and there is no evidence of any wear at all, although in fairness there should be no wear at this point. The big thing I liked is the separate zipped compartment in the bottom of the bag where it holds a LOT of clothing and other gear. The top compartment is great for shoes, rain gear, sweaters and anything you don't mind getting a bit wrinkled. There are three other zipped compartments also which come in handy for misc items. It is very easy to stay well organized with this duffle!!! The bottom line is I got everything I needed to take on this trip in this one bag and still came in at 47 pounds, which amazed me. The wheels roll very easily and are designed into the bag somewhat which should reduce the potential for getting broken when being tossed around. Another big plus is the top handle which makes it much easier to handle the bag and load in/out of car trunks or van storage space. I highly recommend this duffle - it is far superior to any other I researched and I spent a lot of time reviewing various rolling duffles.

Fell apart on the second day
My wife and I went to Amsterdam a few months ago, i searched the internet for the best rolling duffle bag i could find, i bought two of these for the trip.My wife's wheel broke off on the street day one and on day two the back of mine shattered, yes shattered and that made the wheels cave in. We searched all day for a luggage cart to bunge our new broken bags to and spent the next 10 days traveling europe wrestling with this shattered back, wheel draging crap!Dont bother with this brand if you need a strong pull bag!!!
