Fascinating historical account of a very intriguing family summarized lucidly. Good read for the ones interested in the Rothschild family.

I really liked the amount of details included in this book. There are enough details to fill in the context. There are instances in which the narratives are somewhat disjointed but the threads are soon joined again. I recommend this book to anyone interested in the backstory of one of the world's most successful and despotic financial institutions.

This book provides the key issues in the formation of the Rothschild family without any of the lengthy nattering background, is a quick and entertaining read, and I think the author did a good job.

This book no doubt helps dispel anti-Semitic slurs levelled at the family and Jews at large still to this day.

An interesting but superficial book. For those who want a quick bead on the Rothschilds...this does.. the trick...An easy read.

Good book. Brief survey without depth, and doesn't cover the current status of the family. however it is good in showing how they rose to power and gathered wealth in the 19th century.
