Will the front with the extended sides fit on a 36” cabinet?

It doesn't have extended sides. It is a rectangle. It looks like that in the picture, because it's undemount, and so the countertop is installed over the top of the sink.

How long would this sink last in reality? Do not want to do a remodel and have to replace in 5 years, looking to last as long as SS, ours is 15 yo

We’ve had ours 2 years and looks new. Be sure to use stainless steel strainer they supply to protect the bottom. You need that for any porcelain sink. We needed a sink fast and this was the quickest but I am not disappointed.
