My cat only likes food thats soft** A: It's not pate`, but it is very soft. I'd say it's pieces of flaked fish, but not big hard pieces. Definitely not minced. It "smashes" very well. I mix it in with their dry food, and it mixes very well. It smells good enough for ME to eat! I have NEVER had to throw any of this food away. When I was feeding Fancy Feast, I ended up throwing half the can away, 'cause they wouldn't eat it all.
