My husband has an arthritic thumb that managed to go out of joint. He was prescribed a high-end $100 brace that really helped. Unfortunately he misplaced it and needed a replacement in a hurry. The other brand was going to take a week to ship, this one 2 days. So I took a chance on an item with no reviews at the time and ordered it.My husband declared that it was every bit as comfortable as the expensive brace and does what it’s supposed to do. There was also a second set of velcro in the package to replace when the current one stops working, a concern he had with the other brace which after a couple of months of wear was starting to wear down.Unless this brace just outright breaks at some near-future point, I have nothing but good things to say about it. Highly recommend.UPDATE: Received on September 16. The hard plastic bit that fits around his thumb split in two on September 20. Changing my rating to reflect this. Too bad. It seemed like a good product.

So happy I took the chance! I usually spend hours reading reviews and scrutinizing my options. I have no idea why I didn’t this time around but I’m so glad that I did! I have Ehlers Danlos and normally wear 2 metagrip cmc braces from my doctor. I live in them but that actually makes it easier to lose. Put them down for a moment to wash hands and they somehow disappear. This last time, I looked everywhere & couldn’t find them even after several days. Maybe it was the pain that made me just buy. I was definitely desperate.A few weeks later, I’ve found my meta grips, but I’m still wearing these. I’m buying a 2nd set to have just in case I lose them and getting a set (or 2 maybe) for my dad, who has arthritis.

I have CMC in my right hand. When I received the brace for about the first hour it was a little uncomfortableBut I thought maybe I just needed to get used to it. Unfortunately after several times adjusting it it was still digging into my joints and skin. It's very uncomfortable and within just a couple of hours I noticed that at the seam of the gray/blue it had separated. I sent it it back immediately and will be looking for different brace. I do not recommend.

I know that other reviews stated that the blue part around the thumb broke away from the harder gray plastic, but I ordered it anyways, because the price was budget friendly. The blue part broke away when I was adjusting the fit. It broke within 15 minutes of me 5 taking it out of the box. I immediately processed the return and ordered one of the more expensive braces. Which I should have done in the first place. DO NOT BUY THIS BRACE. It's unfortunate that I even have to give it one star.

I injured my de quervain's tendon and the brace I got from my physical therapist broke. This brace looks similar and seemed like it would be effective, but the hard plastic edge rests directly on the injured tendon and rubs against it or pushes into it every time I move my hand. It is incredibly painful to wear.

I liked price and function BUT plastics seperated rendering it unusable.

Bought for painful arthritis cmc joint. Plastic split less than 24 hours after I bought it. Not comfortable. Sending back.

I ordered the left and right hand brace on September 10th, two months later and it is already breaking. It is awful expensive to have to replace this soon.
