Cat & Cat Adventures: The Quest for Snacks: A Graphic Novel (Cat & Cat Adventures, 1) Paperback – September 7, 2021

This book was the perfect gift for my 3-year old niece; she absolutely loved the art, the characters, and the story, and asked me to read it to her as soon as she got it. I loved how Squash and Ginny have such distinct personalities but still appreciate each other and can work together creatively to help the different friends they encounter. The story is jam-packed with light-hearted mischief, high-stakes nail-biter moments, and a vibrant alternate fantasy that readers can escape to. Everything is so drawn with so much attention to detail, and the color palette is such a fun experience as well.I've been a fan and have followed the author Susie on IG @catandcatcomics for years now, and I was so excited when she announced this book! My niece asked right away when the next book would be coming out, so we are both eagerly awaiting the next chapter of Squash & Ginny's adventures!

As an adult in her 30s, rereading Cat & Cat Adventures: The Quest for Snacks brought a huge smile to my face. Not only is the plot fun and kid friendly, but the illustrations are so creative and whimsical. You can tell the author thought through the creative process and the attention to detail is truly so amazing. Looking at each page was delightful and I found myself totally immersed in the story and captivated by her writing. Highly recommend this kid’s book for both kids and adults alike!

I’ve been anxiously waiting for this to be published since last January when the author, Susie Yi spoke at a Lunch and Learn with the Principal Zoom. She is both an incredible story teller/artist and wonderful at inspiring students, and as a principal I love that my students got to meet her! I bought 6 copies of this book as gifts to nieces, nephews and for a borrow book at my office library. The kids are all loving it. They indicated the story is fun and the art work is beautiful. A total home run.

NoGreat comic style story that is engaging and fun. A quick read, but definitely makes you want to read the next one.

Absolutely adorable! Cute and silly adventures from Squash and Ginny, two loveable magical cats who go on adventures when their "person" leaves for the day. If you haven't followed @catandcatcomics on instagram, please do! Susie posts adorable side stories of these two charactes and friends and I always look forward to seeing her wonderfully sweet comics. In this story, after running out of snacks, Squash and Ginny must go on adventure to gather three ingredients needed for an unlimited snack potion. They visit three different lands, and face dangerous situations as they gather the ingredients and make new friends along the way. A great book for young readers, and for fellow cat lovers of all ages. I look forward to more comics from Susie.

I was so excited about this book and I'm so glad I pre-ordered it!I decided the best way to read it would be to also read it to my son for his bedtime story. It did not disappoint! He absolutely loved it and asked me to read it again!As an adult I also enjoyed it and think it's super cute. I think it would make for a great present!I'm so excited to get all the other books from this series!!

I bought two copies of this book- one for myself (signed :3 ) and one for my 5 year old niece! She enjoyed following along while I read it to her, and her 8 year old brother caught on easily. It was fun working through some of the puzzles together.The illustrations are beautiful, colorful, and engaging, and the story is super cute. Can't wait for book 2!
