I installed this in the lower left side of the terrarium. It has successfully raised the temperature about 7 to 8 degrees. I have the heater set at 85 degrees and the temp is currently 74 to 75 degrees. This is up from 67 to 68 degrees before the heater. The lighting in the terrarium doesn't create any heat at all. This was the safest way to add a little heat to this terrarium. It's working out just fine. I like the fact that the adhesive is good. I also like the fact that it doesn't use a remote probe. It wouldn't be helpful for my setup. This heater wouldn't be sufficient to heat this terrarium for certain reptiles, but for my needs, it is perfect. I recommend it.
