He's not huge but I'd noticed that they were made in China where I think men are a bit smaller than they are in the UK. I ordered a XXXL size (the biggest they had) and as soon as I got them out of the pack I knew I'd made a mistake. The manufacturer's label gives no indication of size at all but the company I think imported them has attached a cardboard label saying UK 14. As expected, my honey couldn't get them round his waist without feeling he was being cut in half. Fortunately they do fit me (and I'm size 16 so where the 14 comes from is beyond me) so I've snaffled them!If you do consider buying them for a slim hipped man, consider the inside leg length too. These are only 30" and that's barely long enough for me (I'm 5'7").
