Incredible!
I don’t want to know what’s in this stuff but it’s incredible. It’s almost instantaneous, like magic. I followed directions after applying the spray, making sure to wipe things down with water to neutralize the spray using a very damp microcloth followed by drying with another cloth. My BRASS pieces, lamps and table bases, look like new. It’s been a week and shine/color are still perfect. As for cleaning COPPER (cooking pots and lids) it does a great job and again is almost instantaneous but I did need to use my Barkeepers Friend Pot and Pans cleanser to really remove spots. Yet, the cleaning time was drastically reduced. It’s the greatest product for cleaning brass/copper since sliced bread. Something important to note: MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN A VENTILATED AREA, either outside or by an open window/door, and WEAR GLOVES. Otherwise, this stuff is awesome!

Strong toxic smell but great results
Wear a mask and/or use this outside. I’m a professional housekeeper, I am not easily shocked by the smell of a product, but this one is very very toxic smelling. That being said it worked a trick on my 75+ year old brass mailbox. I followed up with the FLITZ Polish

Only works on smaller items
It works well for tarnish removal. REALLY well, BUT, it’s easy to use on small items that you can wash and polish after. Not so good on large items, it leaves a milky, sticky residue that makes my large copper bowl and brass mongul look dull, even after washing and polishing it as well as I could. Now I kinda hope the tarnish comes back soon as I don’t like the new look.

Instant tarnish removal product
I have some old pots and pans with copper bottoms. They haven't been used for over 40 years, and one spray and instantly the tarnish was removed. No rubbing was even necessary. A great product.

Stay Away! JUNK!!
This product does not work as advertised!!! Below is the promise - INSTANT CLEANING POWER - Our fast-acting brass and copper cleaner is engineered to quickly cut through heavy tarnish, oxidation, rust, corrosion, calcium deposits, water spots, and stains. With this aluminum oxidation remover, you can easily remove surface stains within just 30 seconds of application. It does not work fast! It does not work at all! I even used a brass brush with this product and to oxidation on the copper statue was barely touched. And the best (worst) part is that it cannot be returned1 All they offer is online customer service. Did this help? NO!! Save your money and try a different product!

If you're restoring a fire extinguisher
I'm giving this three stars for the following reason. I used it to remove tarnish from an old copper/brass fire extinguisher, and did it work? Kind of is the answer. It instantly melted away tarnish in some spots and literally had no effect on the tarnish in others and I was basically left with something that looked much worse than it would have if I had just left the even patina on it. At that point I was committed to polishing this thing until all of the tarnish came off and since I was so invested in it, that's what I did. I tried at first by hand which was a nightmare, it probably would have taken me ten years to do it that way. So what I did instead is used the polish I had, (which is also flitz and worked pretty well, although I'm reluctant to give them a plug since this stuff was just OK. Use whatever you want, there might be better stuff out there) and I ordered the "Car Foam Drill Polishing Pad Kit 22 PCS, 3 Inch Buffing Pads" off Amazon for ten bucks. I took the flat black pad, attached to the drill, and went to town with the polish. Once youre done, take the soft feather white pad and go over the whole thing again with the polish. I can't tell you how much time this saved me and it looked great when it was done. If youre trying to restore an old fire extinguisher with limited resources and without killing yourself, give this a try. You'll thank me later

Blown away by how quick, easy this worked.
This was AMAZING!! A product that actually does what it advertises. I used a cloth, brillo pad, and a toothbrush to detail this light. The light has been in my family for over 50 years and was never cleaned before it was given to me. Buildup came dripping off immediately. Wear gloves. Makes hands slick like bleach does.

Flitz is a clear winner!
I’m a drummer with a substantial vintage cymbal collection. Cymbals are made from an alloy consisting of mainly brass with some copper and other metals. I’ve been trying to clean some of the worst looking ones lately without much luck at all. I decided to do a little “cymbal cleaner shoot out” to determine which, if any, of the brass tarnish removers worked well. I was especially interested in finding a product that was non-abrasive and could clean my cymbals up nicely without hours of hard “elbow grease” style rubbing and polishing. So I bought 5 different brass tarnish remover/cleaners and tried them all. 3 of them (Brasso, Hope’s, and “Lizard Spit, which is marketed specifically as a cymbal polish) appeared to be essentially identical. They looked the same, and were all equally ineffective …without a tremendous amount of effort. Even with a lot of effort, the results weren’t great. I also tried Tarn-X, which was better. But it didn’t restore the original look of the cymbal. I got the impression that on a more ideal matching metal, the Tarn-X would work very well. Maybe pure copper or silver? The last product to arrive on my doorstep was Flitz Brass and Copper Tarnish remover. I had all but given up on finding something that worked by this point. But this morning I read the directions and tried Flitz on the other side of the same cymbal that I had been testing all the other products on. You just spray it on and let it sit for about a minute, and then rinse it off. BOOM! I couldn’t believe it! In 1 minute, with no rubbing at all, it took off about 50 years worth of tarnish and made the cymbal look like new again! It works beautifully! I have a feeling that all of these polishes and tarnish removing products probably work very well on certain types of metal and for removing certain types of grime. But for tarnish on cymbals (mostly brass), nothing I have tried even comes close to Flitz. I can’t imagine that anything else could possibly work better.

Cleans properly but Shine lasts for 2-3 days only. Life of cleaning with regular n cheap home made products is much more than this costly chemical

The product was as described, however after spraying the item sprayed had to be helped along with a hard bristol brush. Overall, great product which can be used with a minimal of fuss. Fantastic delivery time. Good job.
