GoPro: How To Use The GoPro Hero 5 Black

VERY INFORMATIVE BOOK, 7 Chapters of great knowledge.I am a very avid amateur photographer with over 20 years experience. I do a lot of different types of photography from Astrophotography with traditional digital camera's and high tech CCD devices linked to computers, to scuba-diving underwater video's and photography. While the GoPro Hero 5 has a lot of intuitive drop down menu's, this book will take you to a higher level of understanding and practical use which will enable the GoPro user to get the most out of their camera. A little pricey for the number of pages, but the quality of this book is outstanding from the physical construction of the book to the vast quantity of example pictures and illustrations.A definite BUY if you have a GoPro 5. In my opinion, the user of a GoPro 5 will get MUCH more use and enjoyment out of their camera after reading this book.

Everything you want to know about your Hero 5 - and everything you should know about your Hero 5... I've been taking mine along on canoe/kayak trips and using it casually. After reading a few chapters of this book - I find that I could have done a whole lot better with the situations and results!The chapters are organized in a logical sequence taking you from very basic understanding of the camera controls and set-up, to more advanced procedures that can get you spectacular results. Everything is included and explained in simple terms. No real advance photographic or technical knowledge required to enjoy this manual and get a lot of information out of it. You will improve your use and enjoyment of your Hero 5.

This review is for the Kindle version. "How to Use the Hero 5 Black" is a great book for new GoPro users or for users who want to go beyond the basics. It is well-written and contains a lot of useful info. By the time you finish the book you will have all the info you really need to use the Hero 5. It covers all of the Hero 5 settings, mounting options for different usages (kayaking, biking, hiking, etc.), and editing your footage with GoPro Studio. One nice feature is that the author recommends settings for a number of different scenarios which provide a good starting point as you become familiar with the camera.If you just bought a Hero 5, this book is a great companion guide.

Dad loved it since he has had a hard time learning his go pro and doesn’t like using YouTube

This Book is EXACTLY what I wantedI was so excited to get the new Hero 5 Black camera and learn how to use it. This book showed me so many things I didn't know or understand about the camera's functions. All of the photos gave me great ideas too.It's laid out in such a clear format that after reading it, everything about this camera totally makes sense. I feel like it gave me the tools to get everything out of my GoPro.This book is a MUST HAVE for anyone with this camera!

I'm new to the GoPro and this reference manual/training guide was amazing in helping me learn how to use it quickly. The book provides a lot of information that would have taken me a lot of time and trial and error to learn. This is a fantastic guide to getting the best out of the GoPro Hero 5 Black.It starts with the basics and moves on to more advanced controls, adding in useful tips and tricks along the way. The language is crisp, lucid and jargon-free and, where technical terms have to be used, these are well explained.This is a must-read for anyone wanting to get the very best out of their Hero 5 Black camera.There is a great introductory video on YouTube by the author, as well!

I bought this book after a tutorial video of Jordan on the TimeLapse on YT , interested in learning some new tips to improve my GoPro shooting and filming. But the time-lapse and night photo are the only chapters that really mean something. The others ? Foregone advices like to install apps and basic editing video. How To Use should be different from a Beginners Guide.
