**Q: How wide are the poles?**
A: About an inch wide and a few feet long.

**Q: Can I mount something to the pole?**
A: Not sure what you are trying to mount on the pole but I suppose something lightweight is fine. The cone itself is thin plastic so might not be able to hold anything heavy. Also each pole is consists of two pieces connecting together so it may or may not work for your scenario.
