Conversational piece that give you time to tell what it's for.
Was greatly pleased with the Shofar. Displayed it on the bookshelf and others are curious about how it was used. I love it.

A Beautifully Crafted Piece of Tradition and Spirit!
The Nana Gifts Authentic Ram Horn Shofar from Israel is truly a special item. The craftsmanship is outstandingโnatural, polished, and full of character. It feels deeply authentic, both in look and sound. Blowing it is a powerful experience, and the tone is rich and resonant, just as it should be. Shipping was smooth and respectful of the itemโs significance. It arrived well-packaged and in excellent condition. Whether for spiritual use, ceremonial display, or as a meaningful gift, this shofar carries tradition with pride. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a genuine connection to heritage and faith.

Not as hard as I was told
Took off one star because the product image is misleading; horn is only one color, not two. Mine is whitish-yellowish. Pretty, yes, but not striped like the one in the photo. I don't really care; but it's slightly dishonest. It is half-polished, as advertised. Does indeed measure ~14.5 inches around the larger curve. Just shy of 10 inches measuring straight from end to end; wider end is between two and three inches. Use: It works. You have to be able to buzz your lips to make noise (which is NOT the same thing as going "phbphbphb" like a tween girl sighing dramatically), but it's really not that hard if you can buzz your lips. The mouthpiece may be a bit small for some people (but I'm no expert so maybe it actually wouldn't cause problems). Comparison to my conch shell, just because I can: Roughly as hard as my conch shell to blow; maybe slightly harder. The mouthpiece is somewhat more jagged than my conch shell (bear in mind I cut the mouthpiece on my conch shell myself, with a hacksaw). It's not a spiky mouthpiece or anything, just a little rough. Sound: Higher pitched than I expected. I think the lower note is approximately middle C (but that will vary by shofar, obviously). The higher note sounds pretty silly, at least in my opinion. Smell: I expected a smell. There is no smell. My nose isn't great, but the smell can't be THAT bad if I can't detect it at all. Supposedly they're ALWAYS supposed to smell horrible. This one doesn't. Overall: good product; be aware that these things don't work if you can't buzz your lips.
