BroadLink WiFi Smart Switch,10 amp Timer Outlet/DIY Home Automation-Compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant & IFTTT, No Hub Required (SCB2)

Small, smart, and works like a charm, although the app could probably be a bit smarter than it is to allow the unit to switch based on sunrise/sunset like so many other smart apps. I use this to turn on the power to my low voltage garden lights and it does the job, so no complaints there. NOAPP mode will be useful for those who want to control it directly via Alexa or Google Home without setting up via the Broadlink app, so a great addition to the functionality.

This worked perfect for automating my bathroom exhaust fan! At first I couldn't press the CONNECT button on the second web page of the setup procedure - thinking it was something to do with my "Smart Connect" single SSID name for both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz Wi-Fi Bands - (wish I had problems with in the past) I just temporarily disabled "Smart Connect" in my router's configuration and tried the setup again. However, the CONNECT button on the second web page of setup procedure was still grayed --- THEN I NOTICED THE tiny "o" button that I needed to check to agreeing to the terms. Once I checked it - the CONNECT button turned blue and I was able to click on it to start the connect procedure. (So, I may not have needed to disabled the "Smart Connect" feature on my router. I'll know when I buy my next one and update this review.)I then followed the NO-APP instructions that was sent to the email I listed on the first page of the web setup screen one the device connected to my WI-Fi.Next, I enabled the Alexa Skill using my Alexa App and Configured it using instructions and received another email with a pin number. I completed the setup and discovered devices. Once that was complete, I was able to turn it on and off via Alexa.I then created a couple of routines that control the fan. so now I can just say "Computer, Bathroom Fan" and the routine will turn on the fan, wait 20 minutes and automatically turn it off!I also incorporated with my existing shower routines which control the lights and music while showering - which now automatically engages the exhaust fan and turns it off automatically.Once I had everything connected as working, I re-enabled the Smart Connect feature on my Router setup applied it and then ended up having to reboot the router when I noticed none of 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi Band devices were connected to the network! After the reboot - everything connected fine - including the BroadLink Wi-Fi Smart Switch.Anyway, the switch was easy to install - I should've taken pictures. This device is fairly small and looks like it will be very useful for other projects I have planned - so I definitely will be ordering some more! I was just a little worriedsince the only other reviewwas in Spanish and so they couldn't connect to Alexa - but I was able to connect just fine.Thank you for reading my somewhat long winded review!This looks like a quality device - However I wasn't able to download the User Guide PDF file on Amazon. The instruction booklet that the device comes is very small print - especially for a visually impaired person like myself!

Para configurar fue una hazaña, luego de varios intentos se logro, pero constantemente pierde la conexión con alexa y google home, dicen que no puede tener conexión con el dispositivo dohome, y en la app de alexa dice que el servidor no responde, no logra hacer conexión, luego que le doy la orden de apagar al rato se apaga solo y responde, definitivamente estos dispositivos o son malos o tan de malas que me llegaron en mal estado, tengo 2 marca KMC smart y nunca me han presentado problemas.No los recomiendo, mejor compren otra marca. LO BARATO SALE CARO.

I used this for some older fluorescent hard-wired under counter lights. Alexa integration works great.

Funciona muy bien a través de la aplicación de broadlink, se integra con Alexa.Es un poco grueso y no sirve para ponerlo en una caja 2x4 para convertir un interruptor normal en inteligente.
