This is a great beginner razor. I gave it four stars under easy to use because you really have to know how to use these. I am learning, which is why I bought this with the replaceable razors instead of one you have to sharpen. A word on the razors themselves: they are nearly paper thin, good for one or two shaves, and (thankfully) only the barest minimum of blade is available.

I've purchased several straight razors in the past. My purchases has always been in person at a local store. Due to my past purchases I was hesitant to purchase offline. After receiving the razor and unpackaging it I wasn't disappointed in the weight and feel of it. The matte satin black and it's sleek feel made my hands feel as if it belonged. After the first couple uses that's when I knew I made a great purchase. Also, the shark razors being included made the purchase even sweeter.

Overall I love the razor! I would've gave it a 5 star rating but sadly the handle on mine was bent. If your looking for a razor to learn how to straight shave with, this is a good one for the money.

Bought one for my son. A straight razor takes a little getting used to. But he'll figure it out. I don't understand why guys buy those idiotic multiblade razors. If you use a pre shave product and shave soap, it will clog between the blades and in short order the blades will be dull. You don't need more than one sharp blade. Since the blades are so inexpensive, I change blades often and always have a sharp blade to shave with.

I bought this to replace a parker shavette I had been using for years, the parker still works but i wanted a change for aesthetic reasons. Works wonderfully and holds the shark half blades i have nicely. Finish is even and the tension on the scales is good so far. Overall i was very satisfied and it was a great buy. Will use my old one when i am traveling. Picture is a size comparison to my parker shavette.

Wow... The razors that come with this are double sided. These don't work in this razor holder. It won't close, and cannot be used. Even if it could be used it has a short haft and is not comfortable in your hand.
