These things are great. Considering the average price for a standard 2x4 panel is roughly 100$, 12 of these things for roughly 30$ is more than reasonable for the added visual appeal.These are acoustic panels meant for sound absorption (NOT TO BLOCK SOUND TRANSITION). As an audio engineer I can tell that many reviews don't understand the difference. These are for listening rooms and recording environments to treat and condition room sound/limit reverb. NOT to block noise/sound transition. These do exactly what they're supposed to (if they blocked audio they wouldn't be doing their job), look great and all at a reasonable price.2 pictures for reference (I have many types of panels, these most definitely have their place in that).

I was getting a bit of echo off the corner wall where we record voiceovers, and these tiles did the trick, while giving a really unique look, which I love. I installed each tile with 4 small command strips (sold separately), which makes it easy to remove tiles without damage if I ever want to move them around. I like the look so much that I'll likely end up buying a couple more packs and "growing" the honeycomb out to further cover the walls in that corner. Very nice product.

Buy for the hexagonal aesthetic only. To be sure, I put a speaker face up in an open box, and 1, 2, then 5 of these panels over the box, then recorded the audio with my phone sitting on top of the pile. Not a smidge of difference in volume. A single bath towel would likely have done better.

I'm obsessed with these. I live in an old house from 1898 and I can hear everything from the alley beside me. Plus with the last week of bizzaro weather here, this wall has been freezing! Orange is the perfect color for my 70's vibes room and I ordered 2 packs, just to order 2 more cos I love them so much! Now I can add more when I feel like it, or not. Plus the slumlords don't get to keep them, unlike all the paint and wallpaper I've used to make this place pretty so I definitely recommend. They deflect sound, so my buddy and I can play rock band when we're drinking no problem! Hehe. Amazing. I'm thinking of getting black for my room next, and maybe the front door!

I didn't end up using these as anticipated. (I went for proper acoustic foam panels.)These are as described, but I don't think they will absorb much sound at all -- They're quite thin and not very dense. They're definitely not going to provide any sound-proofing, and their effects towards acoustic treatment would be quite minimal.I would consider them more as design- or decorative-based.
