I got the SSD for my PS5 on 17 September 23 - today is 17 November 23 and the drive died inside my PS5 under normal use 1.7Tb was used only for games with heatsink installed very disappointed Just requested for warranty will update this review in future for any further resolution.

On first day installation working fine. Transfered all my data and everything was perfect. On 2nd day system started unstable responce.Now the drive is not showing in Bios and operating system both. I am in big trouble about my stored data of 6 months projects.

This has all the check marks ticked:Has DRAMHas TLC 176 LayerHas a 5 Year term warranty (Also the TBW is a lot more higher)Capable of reaching 7400 Read and ~6700 Write.There are a few drawbacks compared to Samsung 990. But the drawbacks are definitely not worth the +70 price difference. Maybe 10-20 at most. Also do keep in mind that from a performance standpoint you will not notice any of these drawbacks in Gaming / day to day use.I tested this on my PC and PS5 and it worked perfectly fine.

I used this in a PS5. Instructions were a bit sparse, and not explicit enough concerning the heatsinks. Almost occluded too much of the pin area. Item could benefit from a target line not to place heatsinks past. Performance was excellent, price can't be beat.

I wanted to expand my PS5 internal storage and this is exactly what I needed at a good price point. I've used Patriot products for years and never once had any issues so this was an easy decision.Installation is super easy and I used both heatsinks provided and there are no issues with spacing or the overall fit. The entire process of unplugging everything attached to my PS5, removing the cover, installing drive and putting everything back together took no more than 5 minutes. You will need a small Phillips screwdriver to install the drive. The hardest part is removing the PS5 cover.INSTALLATION:Put PS5 on a flat surface with the PS5 logo at the top left cornerTurnover so logo is facing downGrab the top right corner of the outer case while holding the bottom left corner of the actual PS5, not the casePull up ever so slightly and then SLIDE the case down, don't pull too hard, you want to SLIDE the case off.All in all, a Patriot 1Tb drive for under $130 SOLD!!!

Bought this as an economical and available SSD to expand my PS5's internal storage. Arrived on-time and intact. The instructions were relatively clear and installing both the graphite heat sink and heavier aluminum heatshield only took a few seconds each. It's fast, with a read-speed advertised at 7,000 ish but the PS5 detecting a bit slower at 6,400, it's still great and fast enough to play my PS5 games off of without hiccups or slowdowns. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for a compact SSD expansion.

The SSD is very good and has fast read and write speed. Although if you buying for installing in Laptop you have to be careful as the Aluminium Heatshield won’t fit so you have to use Graphene one but it will not show you any effect on temperature as the SSD will remain cool. Mine never crossed Temperatures above 40 degree Celsius. The SSD comes in a very good packaging which is amazing as it functions like a mobile cover as the packaging box upper most cover can be opened like a box from where you can see the contents Like Flip cover for smartphone it also contains a magnet which it sticks to but you cannot take out your contents through here. The SSD is light weight and is 4th Gen.The packaging box also contains a Quick Start Guide which can be very useful, Overall for the price it can become an excellent choice, Especially if you can get during Sales at a price which is far less than what the competitors.
