Perfect ... as advertised

I ordered one for antifreeze and one for 0-32brix. Both units were shipped in a plastic baggie, and arrived loose from the padded box. One was damaged. I was able to reassemble it (a lense came loose inside and so the focus did not work, and using distilled water to calibrate leaked in, and the blue background color dissolved in the glue and had to be wiped off the lenses. The 0-32brix unit was in better shape and seems to almost work, except I can focus on the scale, the white/blue line is very fuzzy, like 2 units wide. I think I can figure out how to calibrate the edge of the fuzzy line, so I'll be able to use it, but both of my ATC units are cheap junk, I would NOT buy this one again. Most cheap refractometers are junky, but the ATC's are the worse. I have another that is 0-80brix, and while it is better, it is hard to read the lower part of the scale that I need, 0 is almost impossible, and the white/blue line in the range I need is out of focus. These work just as good as the $200-300 electronic units (the $100 electronic units do NOT work) so I still recommend the cheal optical units, but don't buy the ATC brand. And buy one where the measurements you will make the most are in the middle or upper half of the range if you can, so if you are targeting a measurement of 13-14 brix, buy the 0-32 rather than the 0-80. The padded case has a weak latch, so this will not survive shipping from amazon. It will arrive outside the box with damage
