A: A friend got mine into my 2000 Chevy Tahoe for me. So I assume it will work in your 2002 Yukon. Speakers are great and give good base and sound. Great quality for the price!

A: No a 8 in subwoofer will not fit for stock replacement speakers nine times out of 10 the replacement speaker is only 6.5 occasionally you will find an 8-in subwoofer in certain vehicles check your owner's manual and see but I'm almost positive you have a 6.5 you can also get that from boss and many other brands to choose from

**Q: Good replacement for the ion explorer? Rather replace the woofer.**
A: This subwoofer is designed for auto use, however for the price might be worth looking into. Keep in mind this is a single voice subwoofer. That means it will only pick up bass notes. I don’t know anything ahout your karioke machine, but you may need a dual voice for that.

They are a good subwoofer for the price. They were built well, and they have a good sound to them. However they did not work out so well in the application I picked them for. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value for some nice small drivers

After at least 25 years of living in my hand built enclosures, my original 8" Pyramid speakers foam surrounds left the chat. After a good thumping session I noticed that there were foam pieces that came off one of the 4 drivers, and when looking more closely at all of them, they were all aged out. I couldn't find any correctly fitting replacement surrounds to repair the Pyramids, so I found these Boss 8" woofers that were a close fit and installed them. My custom speaker tower enclosures (R&L) are split internally creating two acoustically engineered spaces, an upper sealed full range, and lower ported for a subwoofer. This will give these new drivers an opportunity to prove themselves in both applications. Note: I do also have 2 10" subs ans a dual voice coil 12" sub in other enclosures as a part of my total system. I don't expect these 8" drivers to provide all the sub bass I need, but do expect them to participate. I picked these due to the poly cone (vs. my paper Pyramids) and the rubber surround (vs. foam). Installation was pretty straightforward and they look the part even better than my originals. I'm taking it easy on them initially as Boss recommends a break-in period, but then I do plan to put them to the test with my home theater system. Time will tell, but I like how they sound already. Quality seems quite good and consistent. I'm only giving them 4 stars now as I have not had the chance to fully test them yet. Pics without the grill cover installed.
