I honestly wasn’t sure if a cat food could make a difference for someone with allergies, but Purina LiveClear Pro Plan has been a complete game-changer for both me and my cat. I’m allergic to cats, but after switching to this food, I can pick my cat up and even sniff her without any irritation—it’s truly amazing! Eatability: My cat absolutely loves it. She digs right in every meal, and I’ve noticed she actually eats her portions consistently without leaving bits behind. Smell: The kibble has a pleasant aroma that even I can tolerate (and I’m very sensitive). My home no longer has that strong “cat food” smell, which is a huge plus. Health & Nutrition: You can feel confident that this food is backed by science. It took around a month and a half before I started noticing a substantial improvement in allergies and in that time I was skeptical but holy cow… it works. This might be more pricey but I’m saving so much money on allergy meds and nasal sprays. I can stick my face in my kitten’s fur, nuzzle my face with his, and no symptoms. My mom has been a lifelong cat allergy sufferer where just a few minutes is enough for her to start experiencing symptoms so I never thought she would be able to spend time in my space with my cat but she has not had any issues. I bring my cat to her home for holidays and it doesn’t impact her at all. My only complaint is I wish there was more variety of flavors/ingredients so I could ensure I’m feeding my guy something he adores. He eats this no problem but I feel kinda bad he’s locked into this because of me. I will say this dry food is not his primary food source. He gets a different brand of wet food in the morning and evening and the dry food is more for grazing during the day and the middle of the night from an automatic feeder. Despite this being secondary to his wet food, it has still conquered his allergens. This is a little embarrassing but once I was worried that my boy wasn’t eating bc of a stomach issue and I was desperate so I ate a couple of his kibble in an attempt to get his interest lol and it tastes fine. Judge me if you must but if you’re not comfortable to take a bite, why would you feed it to your pet? So I can confidently say this is cat and human approved. Tasty for my little boy, and life changing for me.

IT WORKS. I personally am not allergic to cats specifically however, I have generally sensitive allergies to pollen, dust, unclean animals/spaces, etc. and have a few close friends and a mom who is indeed allergic to cats. That said, I didn't want them to never see them again at my house because of my cat so I gave this food a try. YOU. GUYS. IT WORKS. I've had friends who are allergic to cats come over and not have their allergies kick up. My mom came over and was perfectly fine. I started feeding this to my first kitten at 7 weeks old and now at 6 months old, his coat has a certain shine to it and he seems incredibly healthy. I feed it to him twice a day (breakfast and lunch) and then feed him 1 can of Tiki wet food. After about two weeks of this routine, one of my friends who is allergic to cats was able to come over and was perfectly fine. I have now started this routine with a second kitten that is 4 months old I just got and am anticipating the same results. THIS ALL SAID, I must also add that I bathe my cats regularly using an anti-allergen shampoo despite the strong opinion out there that cats don't need baths. I still bathe them because I like to keep my home (and my cats) extra clean. They're my cats, it's my choice, and I don't need anyone's else's approval. I use the Allersearch Cat+ Anti-Allergen Cat Shampoo and bathe them every 2-3 weeks and I think this beats any lingering allergens that still exist on my cats after the food's effect (they actually love baths now lol). I also wipe the paws of my cats at least once a day (usually in the evenings before going to bed) and I vacuum very often. Call me a clean or neat freak but I firmly believe this all contributes to minimizing or eliminating allergens from my cats and I think this food is a strong reason for my success so far!

This food is seriously a game changer for people with allergies. I adopted my kitty in January and discovered I had allergies. I obviously immediately went online and found this food. I was a bit skeptical, but the other reviews praised it, so I thought, "why not!" I'm so glad I went for it. I have had little to no allergies in the months after I've been feeding him the food. Chicken is the main ingredient which he loves. It's got a nice crunchy texture but does get soft quickly when wet. The pellets themselves are about the size of a pea. He usually devours a whole bowl within an hour so it must taste good. The ingredients are high quality from what I can tell in my research and he's transitioned very well.

The cats love it so much they have torn up the bag and we have to hide it from them. We are using this in combination with the ProPlan allergen reducing waterless "shampoo" and that seems to be really helping our allergy sufferers. Hooray! it's a premium priced product, but for something the cats like AND we get some benefit from - we find that it is still a good value. The food itself seems to also be a nice quality with good nutrition for the health of our little furballs as well. It's now part of our regular Subscribe & Save deliveries to be sure we never run out!

Kitty approved and allergy approved! I’ve not noticed a smell but I keep this food in an airtight container. The size of the bag is great and it’s a great value for money. My vet says this food is healthy and good quality. The food pellets are hard and I hear him chomping at night but it doesn’t seem to be an issue for this kitten.

From first hand experience, this food significantly reduces fel d 1. I was prepping to rehome our himmie. He’s our first cat and 3 days after bringing him home, I couldn’t even stay in my own home without my eyes feeling like they were going to pop out of their sockets- that’s with the help of a antihistamine. Friend told us about this food and after just 3 weeks, he sleeps on our bed! Again, he’s a himmie, probably the heaviest long haired shedder of em all.

My kitten loves this food and I love that it appears to be improving my allergy to him! I never planned on sharing my home with a cat, but I found a kitten (or did he find me?) on a walk one day and here we are. I have had cat allergies all my life (hives, congestion, burning eyes) so I had no idea what I was going to do. Almost 3 months later, and he is still living in my home thanks to this food. I also use the Purina LiveClear dry shampoo on him (and a few other allergy reducing techniques like air purifiers and allergen reducing spray) but I would say that after he was on this food for about 6 weeks, I could notice a difference. He was also neutered around that time, which helps reduce allergens, but even so, I will use this food for the rest of his years. It has amazingly allowed me to share my home with a cat!
