glue it to your helmet, then it's fine.
The velcro mounting system is worthless, but you can glue the plate to your helmet. Then simply bend the arm into any position you want and cut it to length. For the price, it's versatile and your won't cry when it gets broken in a wreck.

Mounting system is not adaquate.
The mirror is helpful. The image isn't perfectly clear, though I wonder if that's my eyes or the mirror. To attach the mirror to my helmet, i had to use zip ties, because it loosens with the Velcro and vibrates making the mirror difficult to use. This way it is secure and easier to use.

Its great, once you get it mounted with alternatives
The velcro that comes with this, isn't strong enough for the application. I installed it and it fell off within a hour or so, just hanging on my helmet on the wall. If you have a place to wrap a single zip tie around it on the helmet, its good to go. I have one mounted on two different helmets and it holds up in the wind, with zip tie. They need to add a way keep the nut attached to the mirror. it fell off, because I needed to remove the mirror for doing offroad trails (didn't want it to get it caught on branches) and I didn't realize that the machine screw goes into a nut that isn't held into the hole. I added a thick bit of park tools bicycle grease in the hole to keep the screw in there, in case I need to remove the mirror again.I had to drill a small hole in the sun guard of my MTB helmet to fit a zip tie for the mirror. There are many things I have to modify to get it to work for me, so this is really minor and easy for me. Your miles may vary.Mirror works great and you can change the position of the mirror in various ways to fit your needs, but the mount needs improvement.

No way that this will fit on the inside of your helmet.
Extremely poor design. I tried to make it work on two different helmets, which was impossible. Instructions are virtually nonexistent. The YouTube video was blurry and not helpful. Buyer Beware!

Wide angle
Nice wide angle lightweight mirror that will show you the reverse of where you're looking. Requires frequent adjustment if you're changing position on your bike. Aside from that it's still a nice little mirror for a little extra early warning.

decent construction, but not a glass mirror
construction and design was ok, but the mirror was distorted. Polished metal, not glass. Even after removing the protective film the mirror image was not clear.

Does the job
I use this mirror when riding an electric unicycle. It’s mounted on a motorcycle helmet with a visor. Due to the lower position of the helmet’s bottom edge compared to a bike helmet, I’ve glued the mirror on.Overall, it serves its purpose effectively.

Works great but mounting tape isn't sufficient
As others have commented, mounting this using the include sticky sided Velcro padwill need to be reinforced. My son has a solid shell skateboard style helmet and there's no place to mount the Velcro pad on the inside of the helmet. However, the outer shell is smooth so we attached the Velcro pad to the outside. But, this means the mirror hinge needs to be reversed which is easily done with a screwdriver (just unscrew the one screw in the hinge, remove the stem that holds the mirror, put the stem in the other direction, and screw-in the screw. However, the glue on the Velcro pad is not sticky enough to hold the mirror long-term so we use a 1/8" drill to drill 2 small holes through the Velcro and helmet and then used small zip-ties to secure the Velcro pad. The second mirror assembly included in the packet just makes this a better deal. The aforementioned "stem" that holds the mirror is metal so I think durability will be high on this, but I'm sure at some point, the helmet will be dropped and the mirror will break so the second mirror is nice insurance for when that occurs. Or, if my son's head grows and he needs a new helment... I would definitely buy this again.
