I'd definitely buy this again ### ⭐⭐⭐ Nice *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States on 7 November 2020* This barrette comes in a lovely package (though mine was crushed in shipping, so if I’d ordered it as a gift for someone, I would have had to return it.)It’s a nice barrette but in black it really is not that special. I don’t think it’s worth fifteen dollars. There are plenty of good barrettes for five dollars or less in the drugstore or supermarket. The only feature that is superior is that one side of the inner clasp is covered, making it slightly less slippery than average. It would have been truly nicer if both were covered, but then I suppose it would too small to hold the average woman’s hair.I can’t really comment on how well it holds one’s hair, as I have such thin and super fine “slippery” hair that it falls out of mine, but that’s pretty unusual. It has a very good lock (as do most barrettes of this type, though). It would be a good barrette for someone with an average amount of hair. For someone with very thick hair it’s probably not big enough. It works pretty well for me holding my hair up, but it still slips fairly quickly. I believe that is more due to my hair than than the barrette though, but I presume if you have super fine hair, you’ve probably already given up on this type of barrette. Still, if you’re like me, you’re probably always looking for one that is better than average. This is, but not enough for fine and thin hair.Bottom line: A title better than average barrette in a nice package. Many better deals out there. No sense paying so much for a gift package.
