Go on, disrupt the status quo.
I cherish the look and feel, of high end electronices... and also this. The minimal tolerances of its crafted stainless steel shell departs a feel of quality and substance The smoothness in articulating the HD display from screen,180°, to tablet mode is smooth like butter. Even down to the backlit keyboard, the pressure and depth needed until activation is rewarding. Overall the outward appearance, keyboard, and satisfaction Ive found via user interface, makes this the best feeling and looking sub $1000 laptop I've worked with!Sorry to say, the power button brings the cops to the kegger. Having finite resources, it's evident where the money went, thus leaving it's performance swimming mid pack in a pool of 3,296 laptops, vying for shares of the sub $500 market. Nothing too exciting, you can see the numbers. Competent enough to tackle most computing tasks, having no problem running multiple windows, sliding back and forth with ease, etc. However, with google's recent announcement of extending critical updates, this laptop will be performaning years after planned obsolescence leaves Macbook or Window laptops, of any price,.in oveburdoned landfills. With so many positives right of the bell curve, I am left with the understanding, this is far and away the best buy in this segment.

Great Chromebook but no backlit keyboard as described in the ad!
It seems like I replace my chromebook every 2 years. I think this makes number 4. I don't replace them because they are bad laptops. I replace them because I always seem to spill some kind of liquid in them which damages the circuits and makes the laptop less functional and reliable. This laptop has a touchscreen and is by far the best Chromebook that I have ever owned. Be advised that this Chromebook states that there is a backlit keyboard but it does not. I reached out to Amazon support to swap it out for the correct model with backlit keyboard and they just sent me the exact same model back without the backlit keyboard. Very frustrating, but other than that, I am very pleased with it. Although I'd prefer a backlit keyboard, my time is way too valuable to keep playing the send it back and receive the same laptop, game.

wrong model number
this is NOT back lit, which was the selling feature. the keys letter stickers blur in low lighting so cant really see the key board, i've never had that issue. The speakers are god awful! You should not need to buy external speakers, that takes the portability of the device away and using headphones all the time while using the device is ridiculous. The screen is quite dark and the battery only gets about 4 hours so when they say to increase your battery life turn the brightness down that's a joke, or to use Bluetooth enabled head phones but if you want a longer battery disable blue tooth ...its so dumb. the refresh rate is slower than expected. i kept hearing that this is a 1 finger lift...it's not. pretty much all the selling features are a dud. i'm really upset because now i have to wait 3 weeks to get refunded. that's really not ok. i need another device but cant get one until i get the refund. this has been an absolute headache. i hate this device

No back- lit keyboard
Everything works great. Very responsive. Works great as a tablet. Speakers aren't great, but for the price they are. NO keyboard back light.

Good Product
I like this versatile Chromebook (even though I'm an Apple gal). I can tent it to sit on the counter while I follow a recipe, or back to a traditional position to surf while I'm watching TV. The backlit keyboard was a must for me. This is strictly a play toy, not my work laptop, so I don't need it to do much more. I like that it runs on Chrome, the feel of the keypad, the clarity of the screen, the overall size and weight, and the ability to bend it into different positions. I think the price was reasonable. My only issue might be the scrolling isn't fantastically smooth when using the touchscreen or touchpad. Happy with my purchase. (No opinion on battery life yet.)

OK Chromebook with Some Limitations
I recently purchased the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 Convertible Laptop, and my experience has been mixed. Here’s a breakdown of the pros and cons I’ve encountered so far:Pros:1. Portability: This Chromebook is lightweight and easy to carry around, making it great for on-the-go use.2. Battery Life: The battery life is impressive, lasting a full day of light to moderate use without needing a recharge.3. Versatility: The 2-in-1 convertible design allows for easy switching between laptop and tablet modes, which is convenient for different tasks.4. Build Quality: The build quality is solid for its price range, with a sleek and modern design.Cons:1. Performance: The performance can be sluggish at times, especially with multiple tabs open or when running more demanding applications. It handles basic tasks well, but struggles with more intensive workloads.2. Display: The display quality is average. While it’s sufficient for everyday tasks, the brightness and color accuracy could be better for media consumption.3. Storage: The limited storage can be an issue if you need to store a lot of files locally. An external drive or cloud storage is almost a necessity.4. Keyboard and Trackpad: The keyboard and trackpad are functional but not the most comfortable. Typing for extended periods can become uncomfortable.Overall, the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 is a decent choice for those looking for a portable and versatile Chromebook for basic tasks. However, its performance limitations and average display quality keep it from being a standout option. If you need a device for light use and value portability, it could be a good fit. If you require more robust performance and better display quality, you might want to explore other options.
