It just came today, & I'm using it already! I am making a pound cake. So far, it is everything that I wanted in a stand mixer. Packed in the box. it feels like it weighed over 70lbs! But it was 40 in the box First thing; the body is all metal anodized iron like the big commercial machines The all-metal (stainless steel) transmission runs very quiet. The quietest machine that I've ever had. The motor is also quiet as a church mouse. The splash guard is removable from the the drive hub for cleaning.The power button beeps when the unit is turned on or off. Stays lit with it on. The speed control starts with a very slow stir. working up to about 200rpm or so at speed 20. There's a safety switch that prevents the machine from operating when the motor head is raised. An automatic temp control switch stops the motor ifit overheats.For a mixer with a 5-qt work bowl, this amazing machine has a lot of things under the hood! The supplied tools that came with it are all stainless steel. They can be washed in the dishwasher. Finding a permanent place for it is highly recommended, because it is very heavy, & you don't want to lug it around when it comes time to use it!! A thick heavy metal plate is mounted on the bottom to help keep the unit from tipping over when the motor head is raised. Smooth belt drive transmission is also very quiet! Manual gives no recipes.This is a big heavyweight heavy duty monster of a mixer that'll give you professional results!!Features a 575-watt 0.79 hp motor, 5-qt stainless steel 308 work bowl that has no give when you try to bend it. its thick industrial-type gauge has a complete roll over at the top, making it hard to flex. The tools are also heavy in weight. Well thought out!! I never knew that this machine was so big & very heavy!! Huge!! True sign of a high-quality industrial-type mixer!!UPDATE;I just baked 24 blueberry muffins & the batter was about 3/4 from the top of the bowl!! The mixer did it all without batting an eyelash! It plowed right through to batter with no problem at all!! Gave very professional results.
