Just Dance 2017 - Wii U

Although it didn't arrive due to some delivery issues, the game came in perfect condition and I've been playing it a few hours a day for exercise. Some of the songs are enjoyable to dance to and the graphics are getting better. It is similar to the 2016 game, especially with the options to use phones or Wii controllers (though I just use a controller). I already have Just Dance 2014-2016, and after buying 2017 version I will buy Just Dance 2018 in the future. Highly recommended for everyone to play for fun and exercise.

I was surprised after purchasing this to realize that not a lot of songs come with this product. You will probably very quickly want to purchase the monthly (yearly) subscription if you get into this, but it is usable as is if you don't mind a limited song selection. We have four members in our family who use this, and, done correctly, you can really get your heart-rate up. There are several ways to play this "game." You can dance by yourself, you can set up exercise lists to do by yourself or with others, you can dance together cooperatively, or dance together as rivals. You can dance with the "world" by competing with other players from all over the world. There really is something for everyone. The music that comes with the product has been cleaned up language-wise, but any additional songs you download if you get a subscription are not, so know the song before you download. One of my kids was surprised to learn that a song she liked on Just Dance 2017 actually had quite bad language in the form that's not on the game.

Fun Wii U game for the whole family to enjoy.

It is a fun game, and a great way to get a work out. Being able to use your mobile phone as a controller is nice for parties, as you can have 6 people playing at once-just make sure all the phones have cases on them! The idea of having the ability to play all the previous Just Dance songs on this game was a great idea, however it was very glitchy. Many songs would pause or even quit in the middle of the dance-note these were the songs on the Ubisoft server (part of the unlimited/subscription service) and I don't think the 2017 exclusive songs had issues.

Right off the bat, I was not impressed when I used my phone to play. I guess I would be if I had guests and several wanted to play. Aside from that I believe the songs and the choreographies are fun, I like them better than Just Dance 2016. I think it's not fair for people to give less stars because they started using the benefits of the membership and then it expired. One has to read the features carefully before buying it. That memberships gives you access to all the songs from previous versions, so if you have been collecting them I don't see what the gain is other than access to all the songs in one place.

OK, seriously. Rant on! One of the girls and my favorite Wii game was Dance Dance revolution. So when our old wii bit the dust a couple months ago I ordered a wii u as a Christmas gift to the family. Big mistake apparently. The DDR games can not be played on the wii u because they are wii games with game cube hook ups. So, I bought an adapter so we could plug the dance pads in. No luck. Still won't work. They don't make new dance pads for the wii u and so our DDR games are now completely useless. So in desperation I bought the Just Dance 2017 game which uses the wii controllers. Fine. But the game is terrible. There are no training sessions and the game doesn't require you to move anything but the controller so you can literally play it while laying on the couch and there is no way possible for some one as uncoordinated as me to actually do the moves they are showing on the screen. AND, there doesn't seem to be anything special about the wii u itself. I'm terribly disappointed and frustrated with it. I want my DDR back #WiiU

LOVE IT! We had the 2015 version and decided to upgrade this year. This one has a bunch of new features. Its records a video of you dancing on the WiiU pad and then plays it as a short clip after the song is over. While my daughter is dacing and trying to do all the right moves, my sons pop in and out of the background making funny faces and mocking her dancing. She usually has no idea until we watch the video and their games are revealed. Its actually quite funny.Another fun feature is how many songs they've made available through the Just Dance Unlimited. Its requires a subscription service, but extends the game by offering so many more songs.

Love this game. So do my kids!
