For the record, I love Safavieh. I own several 100% wool rugs, they are soft and vibrant and last forever. However, I was disappointed with this rug. It's level loop!! It is not soft, and the colors are a little different than displayed. I am writing this review to better educate future buyers so they are not disappointed like I was. It's an 8x10 rug, so not easily returnable. Update: I have to say... my hubby loves it and we may buy another. It kind of grows on you. I like it too, but it is different. I hope this review helps. Safavieh is a very good brand.

I’ve redecorated with colors light to medium gray and sky blue to Smokey grey blue. Coastal colors, I would say. I ordered 3 rugs from Macys (don’t do this — still trying to get my refund), one sea grass rug from Amazon, one sea grass rug from Walmart, a sisal from Ballard Designs ($50 shipping), and three other Savavieh wool rugs from Amazon. That’s a lot of ordering! For my front entry. I love this one, so does my architect husband. Light and medium gray, light blue, some taupe. Muted and yet cheery colors, I feel good vibes from it. Not too contemporary, but not a staid oriental rug. Highly recommend

Soft, great price, quality is fantastic, the thickness is about an inch thick which is what we wanted does not shed much the size is perfect.After about thirteen rugs we found the ones we love the best. Wish we could have found them sooner and I’m sure Amazon wishes we did also.You can't beat these rugs they are made in turkey where they have been making quality rugs for centuries. Not printed but woven from wool. Thank you Amazon for your patience with us in our endeavor to find the perfect rugs this brand has been the best out all we have received..

Took me a Long time to choose a rug! Amazon price was lower than Wayfair.This rug does not shed much, it is in bedroom partially under bed, but 12x10 rug... so plenty around for feet.I am very happy with the rug. Good quality for price... in low traffic room. It of course smelled when first opened, but that was packaging etc and was gone within a week.

I love this brand of wool rug! It doesn’t break the bank and looks nice, wears well and it very comfy on my feet. Perfect for high traffic areas and vacuums and steam cleans well!!!! Holds up too 2 large breed dogs.

There were patches of what looked like felted wool all over the carpet. I don't know how it escaped quality control. To make matters worse, Amazon reordered the carpet and somehow it became lost. So, they reordered it again and that one became lost. It has now been a month of waiting. Big fail by Safavieh and Amazon. Extremely disappointing! I shouldn't be surprised, however, as I have purchased quite a few Safavieh rugs over the years and their quality has gone from good to mediocre to poor. I will never order a rug from them again.

I replaced a wool rug that I've had for years and from the same manufacturer. This one looks fine but a tad disappointing. The wool is a bit sparse, not lush. Feels stiff on bare feet. I've had it for a couple weeks and the fibers are already starting to come loose and pull out. An average, second-tier wool rug.

I love the colors of this rug. The gray and beige are nice together with a little blue and off white. It feels pretty durable. The only complaint I have is that it smells. Sort of moldy like. I dragged it outside to lay in the sun for a few hours that helped a little.
