This is a really cute tin & it came with a bunch of extras (mesh laundry bags and what looks like bra bags). It would be great for laundry soap/pods. However, we're using it for something else (Men uncomfortable with "women's stuff" stop reading now...). My daughter is allergic to something used in disposable period pads - even the organic ones, so we have the non-disposable, cloth ones that we launder (no different than cloth diapers, really, so if you did that then consider reusable cloth pads...If you're considering it, these are her favorites: Hesta Organic Cotton Reusable Cloth Menstrual Pads,First Period Gift (2 Pads) as well as the "old style" by this brand. The newer style by them she doesn't like. We also have these that work well too but feel more bulky: Period Mate Reusable Cloth Menstrual Pads with Bamboo-charcoal Absorbency with Wet Bag (6 Pieces) (Spring Fresh) ). Anyways, most websites recommend using small diaper pails for the used pads & that's what we've had for a year now, but she wanted something more discreet that would fit in a very narrow cabinet we have in the bathroom RiverRidge Home Ellsworth Floor Cabinet with Side Shelves, White . This fits perfectly and works great for our purpose. In the laundry room we have the diaper pail, so this can be dumped into the diaper pail or straight into the washer. The lid isn't super tight, but closes well enough to contain any potential odor (like a diaper pail does), and it doesn't say anything that would be embarrassing to a young teen. We don't use the scoop obviously, but the tin is absolutely great.

I purchased this to store Borax laundry booster powders. It is a stylish tin that will hold 2 boxes of Borax yet compact enough that it does not take up a lot of space as it sits on top of my washing machine. The measuring/dispense cup is the ideal size for scooping out the powders. Bonus: it comes with 4 mesh laundry bags. It was packaged nicely, delivered quickly and priced right. This was my birthday gift to myself and I am very pleased with the quality, function and look of this laundry tin. Also the lid comes off easily with just one hand by lifting up on the top handle.

I purchased this to hold Tide pods. It sits on the dryer and is easier to access than opening the cabinet every time I need to grab a pod. It really upgrades the look of the laundry room. The tin was slightly smaller than I anticipated, but it does still hold a whole large box of pods. The item is sturdy and well constructed. Mine did not come with a scooper in the case that you wanted to use a powdered detergent.

Just what we were looking for, a nice looking, sturdy, container to store laundry detergent. We get detergent in extra large boxes that my wife can't easily lift. After buying this storage box I now transfer powder to it, and my wife no longer has a problem. Perfect solution!

Love this for my washing powders! It is so much more convenient than the plastic bags the powdered detergents that I use come in. It is large enough to accommodate the detergent and the scoop is an added convenience. It is a 1/3 cup measure so it is not too large to hang on the handle. Very country looking and adds to my decor.

I bought this because I was organizing my laundry room and wanted to store laundry pods in it as it is so cute but yet functional, it was deeper than I expected which was wonderful as it holds an entire large size package of laundry pods. I love it and it got the laundry pods packages off the top of my dryer!
