OMG, this massager is amazing! I wish I'd bought it a few years ago! I love that it seems to really get my entire back and even my neck, and the spot feature is great to let it focus on my particularly achy lower back. You won't regret getting this massager.

Very different than the other brands. Way better in term of massage (all the familly approve) and for a good price. Doesn't look cheap so far so let see if it is reliable

As you can see, I was first impressed by this product but now I’m disappointed. I used the product 3 to 5 times a week for about a month and a half and it started squeaking loudly which annoys me and others when the product is functioning. I’m waiting for it to completely stop working due to this squeak, so we’ll see how long that takes. Because it’s past the Amazon return window, and Sharper Image won’t stand by their product, I’m stuck with an annoyingly defective product which isn’t going to last. Below was my initial review: So the movement of this massager is better than any other one I’ve tried. And let me tell you I’ve tried several. It does feel more like real hands massaging your back. It has shiatsu and rolling feature, nice place to put the control, heat function which isn’t that magical, and allows you to focus on a particular spot on your back with the shiatsu function. It does have a good range from lower to upper back. I’m pretty tall and have a longer torso and it gets all the way to my shoulders. The only thing I don’t like is that every time it is turned on, it goes through this scanning function where it scans the length of your back to see what range it should use for the up and down motion to cover your whole back. That is a nice feature for multiple people using the massager, but it’s annoying if I’m sitting in it and want to do back to back sessions going from shiatsu to rolling. After the first session it turns off and I have to turn it back on and go through the whole scanning process again. It’s a slight annoyance but there still should be some way to skip it.

We purchased this as a replacement to a 5+ year old Sharper Image massager, which was very similar. It was used 4 - 5 times per week for two cycles, so I'd say that it served its purpose from a value standpoint. This newer model is very similar, with a few slight upgrades. Overall, this is one of my favorite things after a stressful day of work. I am 6'4 and 230 lbs. ... the Mrs. is 5'6 and 120 lbs. We both fit this well. It is comfortable for both me and her, although I will say that because of my height, the up and down massage just misses the mark slightly on me. The Mrs. says its perfect for her. It fits nicely on the couch while watching tv but my thought is that it would be too bulky to use on an office chair. I like a more gentle massage as I am very ticklish. I like that this version includes a pad which folds over allowing the massage balls to feel a little lighter. I used to wear a thick sweater as the old version did not have this feature. The Mrs. likes a firmer sports massage and goes without the pad. If you are very sensitive, you'll likely want to wear a layer or two. The heat function is good and adds to the experience. I like that the heat function can be turned off, as its been very hot this summer. This is also very well made and sturdy, which is good because that generally means it is portable and can be moved around without worrying about damage. It can be a little awkward and heavy though with all the chords. Overall, I really like this ... it melts away stress and the different settings keep things interesting and not repetitive. The only thing I am not loving is that the massage tends to make a bit of a weird noise when I am leaning back onto it while the pad is on the back. Almost like a 'farting' sound, which can be distracting. The machine itself has a slight sound but nothing too loud, as you can hear in my video. I hope my video, pictures and honest review of this product were helpful to your shopping. I have owed one of these units from The Sharper Image since the late 1990's and each version gets better.

Its awesome. I use it every day. Its not a piece of junk it will push hard if you lean into it

Delivery was fine, packing was fine but the this device is very rough. It was actually painful.

I definitely recommend getting one for yourself and for your parents or loved ones. I have one of my own and had to get the same one for my parents because of back pain.

I have tried several massage chair pads, and the Sharper Image chair pad works best for me.
