Gravipod Half-Round Umbrella Base Weight Bag - Up To 50 lbs.

Works wonderfully- solved my umbrella fly away issue completely!
I have a half umbrella and my balcony is on a side of my apartment building that easily captures winds and my umbrella (even in its rod iron holder with that weight) to be lifted and dive off the balcony (would end up having off the balcony). The Gravipod weight is very well manufactured- high quality product and was easy to fill and once filled- the closure was super tight and effective at keeping sand in. And now- not one instance of "lift off" since I placed it around the pole on top of the rod iron base of my umbrella- it's perfect.

Hard assembly, Amazing Performance
It does the job for sure, I live in a very windy area and it has never once let my umbrella topple over. My only issue is the pictures they show are of the product fully filled with sand and that is very deceiving. You must fill the bag yourself with sand and let me tell you... it is no easy or clean process especially by yourself. It’s even harder if you live in an apartment and do this on your balcony. But once your finished, it does the job 100%

Not what I expected.
The base is like a sports bag material. The umbrella poll will be very loose nothing the clamp to. I live in a hot area and this material will disintegrate in less than two years. But it worked well with my gazebo.

Great once you have it filled, but filling it...
Whoever designed this obviously didn't have to fill one themselves. They could have just made a velcro flap that opened on 3 sides... but no, just a single velcro slit. It's terrible. Really bad. But, once you actually get the damn thing filled, you don't have to worry about it again, and it's nice and sturdy.

Good value. Durable. Effective. Look good.
These seemed a bit expensive but found them worth the money. Durable. Easy to load and handle. Effective in the wind. Look nice. The velcro is very strong.

This saved my umbrella!
I didn’t realize that I needed a weight to keep my half umbrella from falling over. And when I ordered those I hadn’t read the description, so was confused when a canvas bag was delivered. Then I realized that is was PERFECT! I was going to get play sand, but found a polymer filler and that works great. My half umbrella hasn’t fallen over since. The other thing I like is that I can empty it and store it easily. When I retire to live in my 5’TV, I can use it there, too.

Good weight but unexpected (large) advertising
This product is a great idea and adds stability to the umbrella, but is not as pictured. In the photos on Amazon, the company logo appears in small letters on the top of the weight bag. In reality, it's in GIANT, bright blue & gray letters on the side of the bag. It's a very big ad on a very small balcony. I haven't decided whether to return it, or to try to fold it over and sew the advertisement shut. The other thing that's not ideal is that it doesn't fit snugly around the stem of the umbrella base; but the fit is secure, so it should be ok. If not for the appearance difference/giant advertisement, I'd give it a great endorsement here and to friends.

Great weight for our daybed
We bought a 4 poster daybed for the pool area and these are how we are weighting it down. 2 1/2 against the wall and 1 full on another leg. Had 40 mph winds the other day and it stayed put. Very happy with these weights! (we filled them with sand) Also got 2 round ones for umbrellas and they remain standing as well.
