Perfect
Fitment and durability is nice. Good quality. Really stands out and compliments the other red engine dress up and mods I’ve installed.

additional mods neccessary
on 2023 miata you must shave the heads of the 2 hood bolts that you did not use to mount the bracket on the hood. the forward 2 bolts need to have the heads shaved to allow clearance for the piston housing on the new struts otherwise you will bend the hood. I ground about 1/3rd of the bolt head to clearence the bolt so as not to contact the tube body of these struts. if you do that before closing the hood after install it will save your hood from being bent. The included directions do not show or mention this. All in All I am very happy with these as the hood stays up and it does not feel flimsy at all. Good stuff. just watch those 2 bolts!! The inclosed instructions are barely useful. be sure to look them over a couple of times before you begin to install. Be careful to not lose the little spring clips, They like to disappear and are very hard to find afterwards. GREAT PRODUCT Better instruction sheet would be better.

Good deal!
Well, you can find similar items for double the price so I decided to give these a try.As posted by others, please ignore the instructions and find what works better for you. My car is a 2019 Miata, I used the forward hood support and kept the fender covers in place under the new plates. I did use the new bolts and washers.Took about 30 minutes proceeding with the caution, the last thing I needed was a dent on the hood. The struts work smoothly and hold the hood open a little higher than stock. Let's hope they last.

Dose not fit correctly
It definitely for a different car. The instructions are not even for the mazda engine bay.

Great product!
These are good hood struts for the MX-5 though you might as well throw the "instructions" in the trash and watch a YouTube video. Be sure to install them on the upper nut of the hood, not the bottom one. Ask me how I know. I tried that but the hood opens poorly and the upper nut interferes with the strut causing the hood not to close flush with the fender. Changed the install to the top nut and bingo! Works like it should...just hope they last. Time will tell.

The instructions are no good, this may damage the vehicle/product and become a safety risk.
If you install it per the provided instructions, the top bolts on the hinge assembly will collide with the provided struts and scratch them. It will also cause your hood to bulge up and over the top of the car slightly when you attempt to close it all the way. I got it to work, but I had to modify the installation as follows.1. The lower brackets have to be swapped, so put the left one on the right side of the car and the right one on the left side of the car. Then flip them so the mount is still oriented in a similar fashion as the provided instructions show in the photos. Doing this will give the needed distance between the provided brackets when you do step 2.2. The top brackets had to be mounted to the top set of bolts on the hood hinge assembly. Do not use the bottom set as the provided instructions describe. If you do, the struts will collide with the top set of bolts. When I refer to top and bottom bolts, this is referring to their placement when the hood is propped up. Do not attempt to install per the instructions. It may prevent the hood from securing properly. Naturally this is a concern on the roadway.

Decent hood prop to avoid bumps on the noggin.
The directions are basically useless and installation required installing them upside for them to work as they have to be in the decompressed position to hold the hood up. As described in the instructions they would not work and actually hit one of the hood struts. That could have possibly caused a dent in a very expensive aluminum hood. Be careful when installing them. Don't just slam the hood and walk away. Close the hood slowly while carefully observing their operation at the same time.

Doesn't Work As Instructions Say.
My first attempt at the installation was according to included instructions. I did the driver's side following the instructions, carefully lowering the hood and it stopped at the safety latch. I did not try to force the hood any lower. Picking up the hood I could see that the top of the hood bolt left a small gash in the strut paint. Wouldn't work. I tried doing everything the opposite of what the instructions pictured. Again driver side first. I lowered the hood to fully latched and to me it looked like there was a buldge on the hood closest to the driver side that wasn't on the passenger side. I quit at that point and put everything back to stock.Edit:Looking at a review in the review section with a photo of how the supports are positioned everything functions as it should. I still deduct a star for the seller's instructions being wrong.2023 Mazda MX-5 RF GT

Does require slight modification
Needs slight modification to bracket, interferes with existing airbag sensor. Also requires spacers on one end due to original bracket being stepped .

No Instructions!
Make sure you put them in the right way so you don't damage your hood by opening too wide. Go to YouTube for instructions.
