OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS Reading Tree Biff, Chip and Kipper Stories Decode and Develop: Level 9: Pack of 6
A**N
Grossly overpriced
This is a set of cheaply produced paperback books, each with 32 pages. Every page has the same format: a picture that occupies three quarters of the page leaving a quarter of the page for text. The "Princes in the Tower" has a total of 1415 words (I counted them). That's approximately 0.5p per word. These books would retail for a fraction of the price if they were not promoted as part of the Oxford programme. If you feel that you must conform to this programme then you have no choice but to buy them but I would recommend looking for books that are just as good but are not marketed as part of a schools programme.I feel sorry for families on a limited income trying to do the best for their kids. In terms of value for money, these books are not!
