Pelican Air 1605 Case No Foam (Black)

I love Pelican case and if you order in Amazon you get before and less expensive or their web site.

I’ve been searching for the best hard case for my pedalboard, and this one is perfect. My Pedaltrain 2 fits perfectly (with all the pick n pluck pieces removed on both layers.) I only had to cut out some of the foam on the right side since I have jacks that extend past the edge of the Pedaltrain. There’s enough room to place cables underneath the board too.Now I lug my board around between rehearsals and such, and not have to worry about damaging any of the pedals. It’s not heavy at all (and much lighter than other hard cases,) and the big, rubberized handle makes it easy to carry (even easier than the soft Pedaltrain case.) The fact that it’s waterproof too is just an extra bonus.As with all Pelican stuff, the quality is there, and so is the high price. Hence the 4 stars for value. However, it’s completely worth it to have piece of mind protection for my board.

Container is very well built, excellent quality; not fond of foam cube structure inside.

Pelican makes good, if overpriced stuff. This version is nice and light. It loses a star because of the pluck-foam. While it's a good system, there's no point in 0.5" plucks if you need 2 of them to stop deformation.

I purchased this for my Pedaltrain 2 because it’s like 7 lbs lighter than a Pedaltain ATA Case. In addition, it protects my pedals better because there’s more foam. My band mates can’t beleive how light this case is! Really a winner all around.

Purchased for my husband as he usually carries multiple bags for his photography equipment. This case handles it all! Definitely recommend the pelican brand to anyone that needs real protection for their expensive belongings. Only regret is not ordering him the case with wheels (mightve made lugging this thing around easier but oh well lol)

I had previously bought a Templeboard, and opted to get a more durable Pelican case rather than the "perfect fit" flight cases they sold on their website. It's professional looking, low weight is fantastic, and it's working like a dream with my Templeboard!

I purchased this to transport multiple 500cc S.S. cylinders filled with natural gas samples. This "air" case seems to be just as strong as the original Pelican cases. The foam feels like it will be durable too.

great case and is light weight too

This is a great case. There was minor compression damage to the pick foam, but it really was minor. If you really want a stand out case, consider spraying with a plastic dip. It seals the shape into one piece and looks really great. This trip also adds durability.
