My Roommate Is a Cat: The Complete Series - Essentials Blu-ray + Digital

A slice of life comedy featuring a man who, through developing a relationship with his cat, gets over the death of his parents and his self inflicted isolation. A REALLY cute story and if you are a cat lover it is a MUST BUY. My children also particularly love this anime.

I ordered this for my husband and he loves it ! This is an adorable anime that anyone would love .

While I don’t put this in the great anime category it is very good. It’s pretty unique in ways which helps set it apart from others since there are so many animes being put out these days and unfortunately most of them are getting repetitive and although they may be good it’s nothing special but this one has a special twist to it. The characters are all really good in their own way and it’s a pretty touching anime seeing all the characters come to help Subaru and how he begins to change. It also has some emotional scenes that is really pretty sad seeing Subaru realize how much effort his parents put in to include him and how he started to realize how much he missed out on. I would recommend this one as it has a touching story and is entertaining.

As opposed to the product description the cat is not just a little fur ball. The main protagonist in the story Mikazuki Subaru is a young man who has always found his life between the pages of the books he reads and begins to write. At a young age he loses his parents who have always supported him and he becomes a recluse hiding in his world of books. By happenstance a stray kitten comes into his life and becomes his Muse. The story is seen through both the man and the cats eyes. Both have suffered tragedy in their lives but some how with the help of third and fourth party characters learn to help each other and to open doors they themselves had closed. This is a heart warming story that you'll thoroughly enjoy and watch more then once. Oh, the title song will borrow its way into your brain until you have to find the English translated version. One of my top favorite slice of life animes. I watched it the year it came out and every week I looked forward to the next episode. Definitely worth buying because watching it once just is not enough.

Unique perspective - more than just a guy meets muse cat, this show also give the story from the cat's point of view - which is unique to say the least.

The story has a few sad moments, but it's mostly silly fun. Definitely a great choice if you need a pick-me-up.
